1. My 62 Precision should arrive early March and I'm struggling to remain flaccid!
2. Barrow on Humber, North Lincs, but will be in Coalville on the 31st. Bob.
3. One of the best active subs out there. 1000 watts RMS It works just as it should and has no issues. Slight marks here and there but nothing to worry about.
4. Great playing and sounding bass, the neck and frets are in very good shape, it has Grover tuners and the electrics are sound. There are numerous little scuffs and marks on this bass but nothing to major for a 1986 instrument. Priced to sell quickly. No case.
5. B*ll*cks! another awesome bass comes along just when I'm thinning out my collection.
6.
I was once in a band that had an excellent solution to this problem. If just one band member didn't want to play a certain song, then we didn't do it. No questions asked and no arguments. Obviously it does take quite a bit longer to sort out, but you do end up with a set that everybody wants to play and avoid the situation where you see a song you don't like coming up on the setlist. So no more passive-aggressive crap or half-hearted 'protest playing'. It really shows when the whole band is into the whole set.
Exactly what my band does and it works a treat.
7.
PRICE DROP TO £1400.00 It won't be going lower! Selling my Mesa Bass Prodigy 4:88 I bought it new, directly from Westside in the last week of July this year. It was £1899.00. It is in perfect condition and comes with the cover. (Only the head is for sale - not the cab or the EUB) It's a big loud amp with huge punch. It easily rattles the windows (and everything else) in my house. Unfortunately I am now only playing in a local youth music trust orchestra group and this amp is far too much for playing with kids on clarinets. For rehearsals I'm using a Bass Cube 30 and I'm only getting a GB Head and the Berg 1x12 out for gigs with the full orchestra. So as much as I love it I can't afford to have it sitting round doing nothing. Full details are here: http://www.mesaboogi...assProdigy.html User manual is here: http://www.mesaboogi...digy_140115.pdf Links to a couple of youtube demos from Mesa and from Bass Club Chicago https://www.youtube....h?v=0b3tgaUcMBc https://www.youtube....h?v=iJKdG5A0tAo Sale and Shipping: On sale at £1550.00 collected from Northants. I have tried to get some UK shipping quotes - all bookings via parcel2go are limited to £200 damage on amplifiers (loss at £2500) so that's no good. Parcelforce won't offer enhanced insurance on Instruments but don't mention amps - I'm waiting on an email for clarification from them about it, but if covered would be about £105.00 UPS want £175.00 to ship fully insured within the UK. So for that reason it is collection only. Trades I've been thinking about stuff I might want to try and pretty much narrowed it down to: EBS Fafner 2 Aguilar DB751 Both of those are available new at the same price as the Mesa's new price, so I'd be up for a straight swap.
I'm curious after reading your reasons for having to part with this head why you want to trade for one of two other monster heads?
8. This is one of the best and most versatile amps on the market and it's the 'c' revision USA model that allows you to bridge into 4 ohms. It's in great condition with no issues and sounds awesome. USA made for the British market. Not to be confused with the later Chinese made ones Trades considered.
9. I sold an Orange AD200 to Joe, great transaction, great bloke and totally reliable. Do not hesitate in dealing with Joe.
10. Don't concern yourself too much with the size of the speaker, it's the cab the matters and how it sounds to you, whatever the speaker size. Just try loads of cabs until you find one that's right, going after a particular sized speaker could be ruling out your 'perfect cab'.
11. You'll get enough volume from either but it's the difference in sound you should concern yourself with, the power amps are totaly different, I personaly prefered the 800 as I liked it's massive depth.
12. You should have accepted my £800 offer, I've spent the money on a Mywatt now! Doh!
