  1. Brilliant - just shout whenever you be ready. Transparent/translucent isn't a viable option for me I'm afraid - as my plates are produced by bonding full-colour printed opaque vinyl to the rear of clear acrylic, so are opaque. If you're looking for a straight-forward piece of custom cut acrylic I'd suggest someone like Steve @ Tiny Tone in Manchester, who specialises in those kinds of finishes & no doubt could handle the template too if you decide to go that route. Not pushing you away at all, just ensuring you get the right guy for the job! Cheers T
  2. As Andy says, we’ve played with some beauties previously & anything’s possible! Ok, howdy Baloney 👋 I’d be delighted to help - & although it does take a little bit of work it’s certainly ‘do-able’ as long as you have a pen, paper, scissors, printer & scanner. ‘Simply’ unscrew your pickups which will hopefully give you enough room for you to make a modern-day version of a brass rubbing on a piece of paper - so you end up with a nice template for your pickup routing which I can use to insert templates for Precision split coils accurately. Then roughly draw the shape you like as the perimeter of the plate on this paper & scan the whole lot to me as a 300dpi greyscale photograph & Email me the resulting JPEG. I can trace that - AND SMOOTH ANY CURVES TO GIVE AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE VISUAL MATCH TO THE SR MEZZO; plus I can add in screw mount holes or you could use double-sided tape or White Tack to fix in place, keeping your body hopeless should you prefer. Anything’s possible - & the design/colour of your new plate is only limited by your imagination & perhaps the printing process itself! Shout if you’re interested & I’ll walk you though all. Cheers T
  3. Hey guys, thanks for all the very kind comments & THANK YOU SID! Fantastic to see him in his new home - brilliant concept! - To confirm, my plates are indeed produced by bonding hi-res full-colour printed exterior vinyl to the rear of clear shatterproof acrylic - so are fully protected from blood, sweat ’n’ beers . . . Cheers all Tim
  4. Bump for something special - terrific stuff 👌 Are the lollipops sold btw - been looking for yonks . . . sigh!
  5. Oh no problem at all Jono - great news you've got a colourway you now like & if I can ever help in the future just shout! Cheers T
  6. G'morning all, Yes sir, I remember that plug Andy - I think it worked really well didn't it & I simply cut a few with slightly different diameters stepping in 0.2mm - something like that but it's definitely do-able Jono if you can simply send me a decent-ish photograph of the offending area taking from directly above. Drop me an Email if it's of interest to me at: [email protected] Cheers & Happy Mon-yay! Ahem. T
  7. DEEE-LIGHTED to have been involved Stew - thank you for your kind words & they look amazing in their new home - fantastic! Cheers & all the very best Tim
  8. Lubbly - Messaging you now . . .
  9. Howdy guys, Thanks for the fine comments here - very much appreciated 🙌 Just to confirm, yes indeed I do produce my plates by bonding hi-res full-colour printed exterior grade vinyl to the rear of clear shatterproof acrylic & cut to shape, so my plates don't replicate original fit multi-ply plates BUT as well as printing your images I do have have my own library of designs on file which include a LOT of different torts in many colours which can look astonishingly good - plus the gloss finish of the acrylic can be knocked back with wire wool - or simply a green Scotchpad for washing-up - to give a wonderful soft sheen if that's your thing. Choices, choices, choices . . . hope that helps a little! Cheers Tim 🍻
  10. Nice job - always good to see a bit of individuality & creativity 👌
  11. Phew! You're not wrong there - but glad to hear you've got it sorted your end now, as I did *think* I'm clean 😇
  12. Arrgghhhh - how frustrating. Have you cleared your cache T-Bay? If not it'll be loading what you last looked at. Please try that & shout if it's still causing you problems . . . Apologies T
  13. Howdy fellas, thanks for the heads-up - as fretmeister said all is sorted with the site now but shout if you experience any further issues, although as mentioned clearing the cache generally works wonders. I've dropped you a line Hammer - looking forward to hearing your thoughts . . . Cheers all Tim
  14. Aye, it's me fellas - SCRATCH-IT! is the plates 'brand' under the umbrella of GIG.INK just in case it didn't make sense. Indeed, my plates are no frills to some but I've found the straight edge & single ply really makes your chosen image sing & the range of designs is quite literally limitless; plus of course the chaps at Jack's & Sims can offer traditional multi-ply masterpieces so horses for courses . . .
  15. Hey hey hey - DEElighted to have been involved sir - always so good to be involved in a real personal project - great work sir 👏
  16. Yes, the original MIJ & MIA Geddy Lee plates are indeed different - only by a bit, but enough to make them non-interchangable. However a 'normal' MIM/MIA Fender Jazz plate will *just* fit a MIJ Geddy Lee - it's slightly out but still goes on with a bit of gentle persuasion . . . Cheers Tim
  17. You sir are a gentleman - y absolute pleasure & delighted to have been involved :-)
  18. This is music to my ears No problem at all with that sir - just drop me a line whenever you're ready.
  19. Hey martthebass, Please have a look at my website: www.gig.ink - as although I can cut plates to any shape & have many many many templates on file, I don't offer 'traditional' multi-ply plates - my plates are effectively single-ply & essentially the beauty is that you can have any image on them, from subtle to in-yer-face - but plain colours are no problem & I do have a library of images including pearl that you'll see on the website by having a play in the SCRATCH-IT NOW section. However, if this isn't a deal-breaker than pricing for a Mustang plate is £34.99 all-in to your (UK) door. Drop me an Email to: [email protected] if all appeals . . . Cheers Tim
  20. Thank you kind sirs - yes me me me! Just PMd you vinorange :-)
  21. This. Is. Special. Love your work Andy
  22. Just PMd you Rikkers :-) Thanks for kind words Andy - much appreciated :-)
