2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pN243STOn34 The Mono Betty GS1 strap! I believed the hype but I need a big boy strap for it. Not to mention, I'm a big bloke, so it's a bit tiny for my taste.
3. Mono Betty GS1 Strap Are you a grumpy and potentially achy, old git who needs a strap to support their years of wisdom and experience? Need a strap that'll take what feels like the weight of the world off of your shoulders? Well, this strap isn't too far. Here's a video of the strap being demonstrated. Really great, high and crisp mids. Roll the tone off and you'll have an excellent spongy sound. I'd rather any of the following items in exchange for the strap rather than cash but cash is also good. I've barely used the strap.

A firm but comfortable padded leather strap.
Any of the following books (irrespective of condition);

Rufus Reid's The Evolving Bassist
John Goldsby's The Jazz Bass Book (+CD)
Paul Del Nero's Playing the Changes (+CD)

60 Snickers bars
Any questions, please ask!
4. Hey, all. As you all know, I love my Bongo to bits however, there's a slight problem with it. When I sit down to practice (bearing in mind that I practice in a 'classical' positioning) and use a strap to hold the weight up. My 5Hs is a heavy beast as it is and the neck dive is stupid. I can barely practice using it and I'm trying to maintain the Gary Willis style of picking, so I can't do any weight transfer in my arm to stabilize the balance. It could well be my foamy Mono strap, however... If anyone can help me with some advice regarding this, I'd be rather happy. Thanks, all!
5. I definitely need a Bongo 5HH in my life!
6.
https://www.youtube....h?v=zdGPhQPATPg A wee video ofmyg band from Austin Texas, at South by South West this year. Great fun... considerin it was at half 3 in the afternoon!
TIGHT! Do you and the drummer practice certain things together? That was stupidly tight.
7. I used to work with this one particular band absolutely yonks ago. I made a cheap mute and wrote this line up in about 15 minutes. I'd recommend popping the video to 480p as I'm not a tech genius with recording videos. Cheers, y'all!
8. Absolutely! Feel free to message me.
9. One thing I always do as a given with a gear share. ALWAYS BUY THE LOANER A DRINK AS A THANKS.

11. I'd murder for a 5 string version of this!
12.
So which bass is best for fighting off polar bears? (Apologies to the OP - I'm sure this isn't how you thought this thread would turn out!)
Nope, this is absolutely genius. Carry on!
13. A clone kit would cost how much? Yeah, I'd rather not. I'd rather get a clone and cover it in shagpile.
14. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Custom-built-34-scale-electric-upright-bass-/171787478873?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item27ff54e759 I'm starting to lose faith in humanity one custom bass at a time.
15. I know plenty of singers and drummers like that. I'm still trying to find their communal brain cell!
16. At that price, have you considered the TalkBass and such too? I know the exchange rate is less than desirable but it's a potential avenue, nonetheless.
17. This is definitely worthy of the BassChat's Old Gits Club right now!
18. This pleases me a lot! I didn't think anyone else drew inspiration from trombone or tubas!
19. 1987 Ibanez SR800 (MIJ) Dire financial circumstances force the sale. Originally recieved this as a present of some sentimental value (hence the scathed back) and I've priced this to condition. Comes with the Bartolini's and would probably make an excellent project fretless bass with some serious build quality. Please feel free to privately message me for any queries you may well have.
20. As the title says and no doubt implies - you've got one bass to last to you until the end of eternity on a desert island. What would be the one you would choose? It can be any one bass. I'll take my Bongo, surprise surprise.
21. It doesn't how they are, always take any opportunity you can to go and play with other musicians. A blues band gig? Take it! Jazz Jam? Go have a drink and meet up with folks there. You know how it goes!
22. Don't worry about the confidence. I had the potential to go completely professional but I doubted myself way too much in order to go ahead with it - don't make the same mistake I did. However, I've got the right routine to consistently and efficiently improve my chops, groove and everything else. You're more than welcome to drop me a message and I'd be happy to help out. I'd honestly recommend learning how to play on a Jazz jam and how to sight-read. There's plenty of pros here, nonetheless.
