1. Hey Basschat, kinda new here... I recently was lucky enough to play at AIR studios in Hampstead, London; made by the late great Sir George Martin. Managed to record and film a song with the band I play in called Paperboy based in Brighton in the UK. Each member has a different musical background which I think mesh nicely; would love to hear outside opinion on it. 2. You have some tunes! Can feel the british ska influence
3. Sick Funk, low E sounding nasty!!!
4. Really nice acoustic reggae sound. Tight bass, banging chuckas, sweet brass and great vocalist.
5. That was mad! Such a sick video, very mystifying, makes me want to watch it again to see all the details of each part of the video!
6. Sorry for double posting but just released a new one, can you give any feedback to the vibe of this song? Were just trying something different with it and tried to be more groove/ambiance orientated. 7. Thanks again for the comments, I think you have really just described our recording process. As a new band it was very daunting getting in the studio.
8. Thanks for the feedback guys, I agree with you, we're trying not to dive too deep into reggae and ska. Could a mastering bring out more oomf?
9. Hi guys, My band is named Paperboy have released two songs which I would love feedback on! I am the bass player so would love input onto ways I could improve my playing. https://soundcloud.com/paperboy-band
10. Hi, my name's Max and I'm from Brighton United Kingdom. I have been playing bass for just over a year after picking up for the first time. Since I first played bass I fell in love with everything about it. Aesthetics, tonality, versatility you name it! I play in a Soul/Pop band that has a ska/reggae vibe that is in talks currently with 2 Right Records for a contract. I have played about 2-3 hours of bass a day for the past year and try to learn all the theory I can, from scales and modes all the way to amp and active preamp tones. I want to join these forums as I want to learn all the knowledge I can about bass as well as help out as much as possible. Thanks! If you are interested in the sound of the band I'm in, they are all originals. https://soundcloud.com/paperboy-band
