Absolutely right - massive endorphin rush on the purchase - I've bought 2 guitars and an acoustic bass in the last fortnight because they were bargains not because I needed them. I've owned and sold much better quality guitars than all 3 of these previously. GAS would make for an interesting psychological research study.

The snakewood body is nice . I guess the problem with this one is that It's a novelty item at the same price as a quality used bass. I'm sure it will sell on offer for a fraction of £794

Thanks both , My saddle looks a lot higher than pictured above - if I can get it down to that I reckon my problem would be solved. I will give it a try with my spare saddle so I can get back if it goes wrong. BW Ed.

I picked up an Ibanez AEB10 for a steal of a price on ebay last night. The bass is immaculate - it was a newbie's who gave up, presumably because the action was so high. The neck is straight so the problem is saddle height. Obviously this could be shaved (carefully) due to the Piezo, but would it be possible to slot it like a nut to reduce the height ? It did come with a spare saddle so I can experiment ! Is this a job best left to a luthier ?

There are quite a few budget brands with ovation style headstocks but all I've seen have a conventional bridge. just noticed the weird dots - that's going to mess up my tree of life decals 😨

I picked up this electroacoustic for £50 from a local seller last night. It sounds and plays fantastic and has on ovation style headstock and a roundback but no branding. Despite some serious googling I couldn't find anything like it. Anybody seen these before ? I bought it to complement my Jazzus on the wall - is that going too far ?

Reading a TB review it said its a bit of a one trick pony - all low end and nothing else - but this one is green ! I tried a Hutchins Prince some time ago and I was really underwhelmed - body from baywatch , pickups from crimewatch !
