1. Lovely bass. I'd definitely recommend E-C - just setting up a 6er E-F as my mission for this afternoon.
2. Worst experience I've ever had on Basschat and I've been buying and selling on here for numerous years. Agreed a price and to meet to collect the bass at a service station. Drove 50 minutes to get there only to have a text message to say he'd sold the bass on ebay. I texted to say cancel the ebay transaction as he'd committed to selling me the bass first and also called and but no response so just ended up driving home. I'd been asked to pay by Paypal up front and collect the bass 3 days later which I didn't agree to, Just glad I'm only out of pocket for the petrol money and wasted time. I could have bought the bass on Ebay but went through BC to save the seller incurring any fees - lesson learned ! Did I mention I'm not happy ?
3. Agreed to buy bass off seller - made arrangements for collection at a service station- drove 50 minutes to pick it up got there and had received text to say he'd sold it on ebay, Texted and called and got no response so drove home. What a complete waste of a night. I didn't bid on ebay thinking I'd save him having to pay fees. A valuable lesson learnt,
4. "An ATK would be closer, but I think that is much more like a musicman" Just picked up an ATK300 - lovely bass - my obsession with all things Ibby continues....
5. That is awesome - and local ! Just sold a mountain bike which would have bought me it but have promised the Mrs. the money for a bathroom refurb.
6. Seller got back in touch with the details and it was a BC'er so I feel embarassed now for being so impatient.
7. Now gassing for an SR756 - any possibility of me finding a used one do you think ?
8. That sounds very sensible ! As we now pay to use the marketplace (my subscription has just expired ) it would be good if we could have some improved functionality which could be considered standard.
9. I quite like the look of this and was tempted yesterday http://www.ebay.co.u...qgAAOSwoRBZqq4- I emailed the seller asking for scale, string spacing ,weight etc. and got no response which put me off. The neck looks nice but doesn't really match the body colour wise and I've got doubts over the wooden bridge. Convince me either way !
10. I was wondering if it would be technically possible to include more mandatory parameters when submitting posts in the marketplace which would allow for easier searching or sorting for any potential buyers. e,g.in basses for sale you could have no. of strings, scale length, string spacing, brand, price, collection only , sold flag etc If searches / sorts are based on these parameters rather than being text based, the results would be a lot more accurate. I do appreciate we might not have the technical resource to do this and I do sometimes enjoy a good trawl, but just wondered if anybody else thinks this would be worthwhile.
11. In remarkably good condition considering ! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1pc-indie-branded-j-bass-with-fretless-fingerboard-guitar/282631025493?hash=item41ce1f3355%3Ag%3An-gAAOSwLzhZpsf4
