  6. Mint condition other than a small crack in the lacquer near the neck pocket. Now includes Hard Case This semi-hollow, acoustically chambered bass is based on the legendary NS-2000 shape, and also features a Piezo Bridge (Fishman ) with active tone control. A single EMG® HZ dual humbucking passive pickup combines with the specially selected maple tonewood to give you a bass with a sound unlike any other. Spector have been making bass guitars for famous artists since 1977. Since then Stuart Spector's select team of designers has grown in stature, often in close collaboration with many world-famous performers. Gene Simmons (KISS) commissioned several Brooklyn Era SB-1 basses from Stuart in the late 1970's. Some of the modifications included a special gloss black paint job with white binding along the sides of the body. Stuart shaved down the normally bulbous horns of the SB-1 into points. In 1982 Sting favoured Spector's NS-2, and relyed upon it while out on the Police's Synchronicity Tour. The NS-2 was also the weapon of choice for Jack Bruce (Cream), who favoured the instrument during his 80s solo career. The Spector range has since become extensive and varied. In response to fans constant demand for 'a bass like theirs', Spector collaborated closely with several leading artists to create the Spector Signature range. These basses have a distinct engineering and performance pedigree - the roster includes such legends as Jason Newsted, formerly of Metallica, Ian Hill (Judas Priest), who has been playing Spector Bass guitars since 1985, and Rex Brown. From his earliest days with Pantera and later with Down, Rex has been a loyal Spector Bass player and supporter. 10. I bought this bass at the end of August and it is an absolute masterpiece and by far and away the best bass I've ever owned . Unfortunately I now need the funds for a different project so need to sell so no trades please. The bass features a 33" Scale, 16mm spacing, strung E-high C with a hipshot tuner on the E The woods involved are a walnut body with a split padouk and poplar burl top. Neck is 3-piece maple with an ebony board and padouk binding. Features a Bartolini pre- with a couple of custom pickups - the bridge p/up being incorporated into a ramp design. Comes with the original Zakrzewski padded bag. The control switches are volume, pan, tone, 3 band and then active/passive switch, parallel/coilsplit/series switch for the bridge and a mid freq toggle (trim points inside too for further tweaking) The bass has just been restrung with a set of Optima golds and I have added some JIm Dunlop Straplocks and it comes with a new Levy's leather strap. 11. Bought Graeme's Irish bouzouki -exactly as described and perfectly packed. Wouldn't hesitate to deal with again.
  12. The Mensinger Cazpars I have are certainly the best value basses I have ever bought so hopefully the bass lounge will also stock some interesting and good value for money foreign guitars as well as those from the British luthiers. When the GAS strikes and we go bass shopping it's nice to find something a bit different.
  13. Just bought Pete's Zakrzewski. Excellent comms and a trouble free transaction. Hope to deal with him again (Maybe for one of those Foderas )
