1. Bought Pete's Cazpar 5 and I can't attest to his sanity for wanting to sell it , but he certainly gave me a great price and service and I wouldn't hesitate to deal with him again.
2. Bought Steve's Gio which was exactly as described, brilliantly wrapped and shipped really quickly. 100% recommended !
3. HI Kev, Don' t want to compromise a potential sale but it was less than this with an almost new hard case,as new Levy's leather strap, TM Stevens lead and a tuning fork !. It was badly listed on ebay , it only said bass guitar in the listing header no mention of Spector and said collection only although the seller was really accommodating and allowed me to arrange my own courier. It was an absolute bargain for what I paid but I fancy a fretless so this will probably be the one of the ones to go as I like 4 strings better.
4. Do you think the condition for its age would make it more valuable ?
5. I think I have reached critical mass (again !) with the number of guitars and basses owned so about to have a clear out. I picked up a mint amberburst Spector Q5 pro for what I believed to be a very good price recently (it is an absolutely fantastic bass -I like it more than my Spectorcore !)but just wondered what would be a reasonable price to expect for it in the current market ?
6. Hi AP, I've just been looking into short scale basses too (just bought an ibanez gio in our basses for sale section !) but came across a few other contenders ; Squier Vintage Modded Jaguar or Mustang, Gretsch Junior Jet, Cort Action Junior. There is a Dean as well. Think if I was buying new I would have gone for the Gretsch Regards, Ed
7. Hi Steve, what is the scale length and how wide is the neck ? Regards, Ed.
8. Did anybody notice the Fodera singlecut being played by Jools' bassplayer. It sounded awesome on every song !
9. Got a CTM-15 being delivered tomorrow so interested to hear how this problem pans out.
10. It finally arrived yesterday after some doubt I was actually going to receive it . It is an absolute beauty, finish is really nice, the setup is sublime with a set of Chromes on it and a wide variety of tones. For the money it is one of the best basses I've ever purchased.
11. Having just picked one of these up I have got to say I was blown away by how good they are. The setup on the one I got is the best I have had on any bass I have owned and the quality of the finish is superb. A no brainer at this price !
12. Is it an older version of one of these ? http://www.andertons...ge-sunburst.asp
13. Why don't you try gumtree or loot - save being stung with the fees ?
14.
youre dead right, I've got 2 "real" Overwaters one of which is also for sale one here and there's hardly any difference between those and this one, it really is a magnificent bass.
I've just picked one up off ebay and I'm dying to play it to see if they are as good as every one is saying ! Good luck with the sale .
15. I have owned a Progress 3 deluxe before and whilst the workmanship in it was top drawer, for the price paid I expected it to blow me away and it didn't. This one definitely seemed worth a punt to see if it gets any way near a 'proper' Overwater.
16. Surely it's a Wal - never played one but they all look like 70's wardrobe timber to me !
17. I've just made a cheeky offer and picked up a mint one of these from ebay for £250 . Looks like a lovely bass especially for the price, but how close are they to a 'proper' Overwater and what are the main differences in quality ?
