  1. Hi Paul, Are there any marks or blemishes on it at all ? Ed.
  2. I think this is the nicest looking bass for sale on BC at the moment - can't believe it hasn't sold. How about £1 a week for 1275 weeks ? Good luck with the sale.
  3. Prices have definitely gone up. I got a brand new Bongo for £800 a few years back and I've recently seen a Shuker which I bought new for 1400 going for 1600 on ebay several owners down the line. It seems like the top end stuff is keeping its value better and I don't think i would risk making any niche market purchases any more as you will never get the price back should you ever want to sell.
  4. Watched some vids and decided on Chromes - hope they work out !
  5. Hi, it's fretted , hadn't considered halfwounds - I'll check some out.
  6. Like everything it comes down to experience. I have set up some guitars which I thought were set up very well and then I compared them to a Shuker setup for example and they weren't anywhere in the same league. If somebody is doing something for a living you would expect their skill level to be higher than a fettler at least in terms of custom builders, I'm not so sure about a local guitar shop setup. It's an individual choice as stated above,
  7. I picked up a Spectorcore from BassDirect on a special offer last night and am deliberating which strings to put on it. I pretty much just play LaBella Deep Talkin' flats on my other basses but thought something brighter might work better on this bass. Anybody got any thoughts ? Should I go rounds for a change ? The bass looks like this but certainly won't sound like this in my hands ! http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=KpwaFrXsRLc&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DKpwaFrXsRLc
  8. Hi, Any marks or blemishes ? Postage to Liverpool definitely out of the question ? Regards, Ed
  9. Hope you get it back mate, that would be a truly great result.
  10. You won't regret it -lovely basses - worst thing I ever did selling my Shuker Jazz. Enjoy !!!
  11. Neck was a little too wide for my small hands and I was going through a period of GAS insanity which meant I was trading basses with ridiculous frequency ! Credit was a lot easier to come by a few years back !
  12. I was the first owner of this beauty - I seem to recall I paid 1200 new but sold it as the neck was a bit wide. I still think it is one of the most stunning basses I have ever seen. I couldn't sleep the night before picking it up I was that excited. Crazy price for it now though on ebay . 13. Utterly stunning ! I have just put another lottery ticket on ! Do you think Jon could remove the scratch ?
  14. Wife now paid off so no need to sell - Hooray !!!!
  15. I love mine too and would prefer not to sell it. If only the mountain bike would sell on Ebay !
  16. Or is it the new one : http://basschat.co.uk/topic/199545-fender-p-j-special-mint-condition-l480-wont-go-any-lower/page__p__2001828#entry2001828 Whcih is awesome !
  17. Is it any good -it looks a bargain although they are discontinued.
  18. Hi, No problem with the charge at all especially with the fixed yearly fee. Having just seen my ebay fees for the previous month £20 is a bargain. Just wondering what will happen with all of the goods currently advertised, can they be bumped forever or will they have a finite life ? Presumably the mods will remove any Fodera's advertised at £49.99 + £5000.00 postage.
  19. Andy said to consider a bass I had for sale as sold so I modified the basschat post and cancelled a scheduled listing on ebay. He then later came back and said he didn't want the bass - not the end of the world, but a pain all the same.

  21. It's awesome -the mini bucker sounds amazing .Absolutely blown away -Many thanks !
  22. Bought Mike's strat which has got serious neck relief problems and a maxed out truss rod with no mention of this in the listing . Awaiting a bill from KGB for the repair (heat treatment of the neck which they think will also necessitate a fret dress and were looking at a minimum of £150 for the work)so obviously not happy.I had already spent over £120 on replacement parts (pickup, scratchplate and rear cover which I had installed prior to finding the neck issue.so was committed to keeping the guitar.Would never had bought it had known about the neck
