3. Don't know what happened to the original pics bit I'll get them sorted tonight !
4. Nice and lightweight they are as well - would look great with a cream pickguard and truss rod cover.
5. Hardly playing bass at all so back for sale - it's an excellent price for the quality of the instrument.
6. I bought it too and it looks amazing value for money. As a newbie to it what's the best way to pick it up -just get a book and work through it or are any of the online courses any good ? ( although they look ridiculously expensive)
7. Hi Ray, My experience was that both irig and Amplitube suck. I invested in an Apogee jam which is in a different world quality wise. Garageband was much better than Amplitube but the best bass app IMHO is pocket Gallien Kruger. I don't think I ever managed to get anything approaching decent out of the irig / amplitube combination.
8. I put a listing in the wanted section of the marketplace at the weekend as I wanted to trade a bass for a guitar and got a response from Tom1946 not long after. Suffice to say we did the deal and both bass and guitar arrived safely today. I mentioned to a colleague in work what we had done and he couldn't believe that people would just post items of value to people they don't really know. Having dealt with Tom before, as I'm sure many other basschatters have, I had no qualms in just posting the bass on the back of a couple of messages and hope Tom felt the same way. I just thought it was worth mentioning that it is absolutely amazing, especially in this day and age, to have a forum in which people are willing to put this much trust in each other and where you can deal with people in a fair and honest manner. Long may it last !
9. How about trading it for an acoustic bass/ electric drum kit/ saxophone ? It looks really nice !
10.
Is it a factory fretless, or has it been defretted? Steve
If this is the bass which used to belong to me (and it sounds like by the colour of the lines) I had it done by Jon Shuker.
11. Having previously splashed out on 3 Shukers ,an ACG and an Overwater, the bass I've I've finally ended up keeping is a Lodestone Primal Artist which cost half the price of the Overwater. Not as sexy by any means, but ticks all of the boxes for me. It's interesting to see how many custom builds end up at a fraction of their original cost in the marketplace.
12. One for sale in our effects forum for £650 based on current ebay prices.. I Picked one up last year from ebay for £285 and sold it on as I thought it was unremarkable. I emailed Akai to see if they had considered producing a deep impact ipod/ipad app but didn't get a response. I'd have one back for £2.99 !
13. Bought Tom's Orange crush guitar amp and it arrived in mint condition exactly as described in no time at all. Couldn't have wished for an easier transaction ! Wouldn't hesitate to buy any more of Tom's items if anything takes my fancy.
14. Jens, How about 2 Sue Ryders - One has an upgraded pickguard !
15. Just looking through the items wanted section and it seems everybody seems to have gone crazy for ATK basses. Is there any particular reason for this ? Ed
