Here are my efforts The white one has : Seymour Duncan quarter pounders, D'adarrio black nylon tapewounds, Chrome bridge and pickup covers Custom tort pickguard Pearl topped knobs This one sounds absolutely awesome The navy just has a custom pearl pickguard, fancy knobs and a set of Ernie's. 2. Sounds like a great idea. Good luck with it.
3. Great job. Just looking at my 2 Ryders now and wondering whether to do something a bit bolder than new pickups and scratchplates !
4. Howard made me a couple of pickguards for my Sue Ryder basses - fitted perfectly and got them back in no time. Transactions like this are what makes basschat great !
5. Hi, Is it a Hutchins Prince ? Are you interested in any trades at all ? Ed.
6.
I rang around every shp within a half hour drive radius and none had one. They only store that I couldn't get hold f I decided to go and check out, the Tamworth shop. They have 2 left a navy blue and a white one if anyone wants one who lives near by.
Cheers mate, I couldn't find one anywhere and just been in touch with Tamworth and they were willing to post it out to me as it was too far a drive from Liverpool. They couldn't have been more helpful. Thanks for the heads up ! Ed.
7. I'm still looking for a Ryder. Unfortunately Tom's were slightly damaged so didn't fit the bill
8. Anybody know of a shop in the North West with a Sue Ryder in stock (not Navy.) I've phoned all of the local stores without any success. If I can track one down they may be able to transfer it to my local shop. I could drive to pick it up if it wasn't too far. Ed.
9. Jon Shuker is the master !
10. Picked one up today - flawless transluscent blue finish with a maple neck. It was unplayable out of the shop but a new set of strings and a bit of set up and it's amazing for the money. As the first post said if you'd have paid £200 you wouldn't be disappointed. Now should I buy one of the strats ??????
11.
Very nice. Is that the one which is still on Jon Shuker's stock basses page?
If it is the stock bass I tried to buy this one from Jon just before Christmas only for him to tell me he'd sold it the day before. I was absolutely gutted as it is a work of art. Can't believe you are selling it so soon !
12. Hi, Is the bass in Poland ? It's absolutely gorgeous ! Ed.
13.
I AM THE BOSS! but then the boss looks around the house and sees about 8 electric guitars, 3 acoustics, 3 basses, 3 keyboards, 2 chapman sticks, one electronic drumkit and 4 kids and wonders where he'd fit a harmonica, let alone a box with keys and buttons and things .... free bump.
Time for a bigger house
14.
I love the idea of getting one of them, but the wife would have a fit if I got any more stuff right now
Surely you're the boss : !
15. Too much listening to the Pogues prompted me to buy this. It's an excellent accordion with a lovely tone. It's in excellent condition and comes with case. They are £350 new so grab a bargain. Collection from Liverpool preferred due to weight but probably could post if needs be. GR4103R: Scarlatti S-48, 2 vc.48 bass Red pearl finish, 26 keys, 3 treble couplers, 8 by 6 bass buttons, with straps.
