2. This was a bit of an extravagant purchase considering I only play in my living room 5 feet from the amp ! The revolutionary AirLine "plug-in" AG1 transmitter comes is designed for traditional end-mount bass guitar outputs. Less than half the size of conventional body packs, this miniaturized AG1 transmitter runs on a tiny triple-A battery with 14-hours of battery life. The Samson AirLine AG1 features an array of on-board controls: A Power On/Off and Mute switch, red/green LED for Power On/Off, a Peak LED and an Input Level control for different pickups. And UHF (Ultra High Frequency) means clearer frequencies with less chance of interference. Designed for use with your compact effect pedals, the Samson AirLine APB1 pedal UHF receiver gives you reliable reception. The APB1 features a 1/4" output jack, Power switch, Peak LED and a Volume control. Powered by a 9 volt battery or an optional AC adapter. When you unplug the output from the AP1B receiver, the battery is disabled to conserve power. UHF operates in a higher frequency range than VHF systems. The VHF range is very highly populated with traffic, and because the VHF signal has a longer wave length, VHF radio signals pass through non-metallic walls easier than a UHF signal, making VHF wireless systems more prone to radio interference. Though more expensive than VHF wirelss, UHF is well worth the extra cost. The Samson AirLine uses a diversity receiver. A diversity receiver contains two seperate antennaes, each antennae has an independent receiver and the signals are demodulated seperately. The main unit scans these two outputs and seamlessly selects the output with the strongest signal for processing. The result is a wireless system with fewer drop outs, less interference and more reliable reception. SAMSON AIRLINE BASS UHF WIRELESS FEATURES First wireless system specifically designed for bass guitar. Shape Control Filter Switch for unmatched low-end performance. Miniature Plug-In Transmitter. Compact effect pedal style Diversity Receiver. UHF frequencies reduce interference. Exclusive SAW Filter Technology delivers incredible sound and reception.
3. Think I'd sell my sister and gran before parting with my M9 :
4. I loved it ! Kept it longer than all of my customs and intended to keep it as my only "expensive" bass ! But I'm just not playing any more and owe the wife money for a bike which I promised I'd have paid off in July (so everthing must go)! The headstock isn't to everybody's taste (I believe Status did the design first) but it's beautifully finished and quite subtle. The EMG's are quite ballsy (hate describing tone as it's so subjective) and I'd describe it as quite a good all rounder.
5. Yes sorry - I'll get some on tonight - just wnated to get the listing up.

Line6 M9

This was the worst nightmare of an upgrade I've ever experienced. The problem is that once it has started it has wiped the M9's original firmware and therefore renders the machine unusable (impossible to even do a factory reset) until the update has completed successfully. Line 6 support is by forum posting and not very impressive. We managed to update both mine and Burno's M9's in the end but overall it had probably taken 6 to 7 hours of testing with no definitive answer as to why it finally worked. I won't be in a hurry to upgrade it again !
I feel your pain - I bought the usb midi cable saturday and it took over 100 attempts, a bunch of updated midi drivers and 3 different pc's before I got it to update - and even then I felt there was a lot of luck involved. Looking at the forum a lot of people found updating to the latest midi driver for the midi interface seem to help - have you tried that?
9. I had palpitations the night before I picked it up - it's still the sexiest bass I've ever seen. Good luck with the sale.
