Pedal bought from Ashdown as I love their signature range - and It's Guy Pratt - who doesn't like guy Pratt ?? But apart from testing it it has sat unused in it's box. So lets find it a great home. Comes with all the "case candy" including the unused rubber feet. Note that it requires a good quality 18v power supply.

Under some "harsh" lighting I noticed some "scuffing" under the G string - guess some one in the past slapped it a lot - picture attached

New year bump - I was playing this the other day and it's lovely - it needs a new home - go on - treat yourself !!!

I'm sure if some one comes up with a serious offer then I'll do that I'm hesitant to remove any screws into wood or to even ask my luthier to do that - I've always wondered about how much sense that makes - in particular the neck pocket screws. The neck has been nicely settled for the last 10+ years and there are sufficient other indicators of the basses age to mean is it worth the risk to remove it ? But I guess that is a discussion that could happen.

Thanks - there is also a quick way to date them without removing a single screw which is the headstock logo (which could be swapped) and the bridge which would be harder to replace as the "Pre late" 78 bridges have the string though holes in line with the intonation screw http://www.musicmanbass.global/bridges-pre-eb-eb/ Late 78 bridges onwards have the string though hole in line with the saddle groove and they also have a serial number on them It's quite fascinating to see they way little details changed over the first couple of years of production

Pre Ernie Ball - 1977 Musicman stingray B00 serial number Great condition for age - belt rash on the back (but only to be expected) varnish has cracked on the front but it just looks lovely - like it is striped I love this bass, I don't want to sell it but I'm not playing it as I'm only playing 35" scale basses these days (swapping to 34's messes up my muscle memory..) Bought from Andy Baxter bass about 10 years ago and it's all original (aside from mutes and battery clip) The Pre EB serial db drops it in the middle of 77 - but no way to confirm one way or another - just on the serials around this one Incredible sound from it - it has that classic stingray sound that only a stingray can deliver - distinctive and cuts through It was last gigged in 2019 when I lent it to Caro Emeralds bass player when an issue led to their equipment not getting to the venue (gig photo..) . This needs to be played ! Original Hard shell case included. Case has some age related marks too. £4,000 + postage (method can be agreed...) or you can come and collect it

Thanks - it is a lovely bass and if I was playing it I would keep it ! I'm just thinking maybe wrong time of year - maybe everyone is / was keeping an eye on funds for the festive period.

it does look good doesn't it?? I love the bound body on it - it was the first thing that drew me to it. I've never noticed any neck dive, I've just put it on the strap and it just sits where you put it.

Aaah - thanks mate I figured £1400 based on what it might get rather than what it is worth - a 'ray of the same vintage would go for more - and this is a way more versatile bass but it's had no traction here or on Facebook - maybe wrong time of year with people thinking about Christmas. I'm pretty much only playing 35" scale bases these days as 34" scale messes with my muscle memory otherwise it would be my main bass and I'd be keeping it Just for info the 5 position pickup selector is currently configured Bridge single coil, bridge humbucker, all, front humbucker, front single coil - the flexibility in the game changer is incredible Cheers !

Price dropped - what I'm selling this to buy has dropped in price which has given me £200 wiggle room !

Awesome bass - great variety of tones, super powerful actives, recently set up, lovely low action. I really love the way this bass looks, the bound body is superb and drew my eye originally. Played it a few times but it's generally left in it's case - which no bass should ever do! I've spotted that there are a couple of marks on the font - really difficult to photo so I've highlighted them, there might be more but that is all I can find so any others should be smaller. Comes with original case and original Ernie ball strap locks (and I'll chuck the nice wide padded strap in too!) More photos on request. Price is + UK postage (we can decide on how it is shipped etc etc)
