Unfortunately Little Simz spells it wrong too
I'd most likely recognise you by face or by what I sold you but I'm awful with names . I've got super fond memories of both places. In fact next February marks 20 years since I left! Now I feel old.
Its all down to Viv Wilcock and Rob Mullarkey for designing it, I just chose the colour! I don't really have a preference of fingerboard based on the sound, its just a cosmetic thing for me. I tend to think rosewood looks better on a sunburst bass but hey, what do I know!
I think I’ve found the internets most useless serial decoder! 🤣
I suspect you’re absolutely right and this is a case of me having a little knowledge but nowhere near enough! 😂
Apologies!
Actually, it’s seems to depend which decoder I use.
this one suggests 1956 http://www.vintagehofner.co.uk/ramsay/date.htm
where as this one says 1965 https://www.guitarinsite.nl/serienummers-hofner_eng.php
Wonderful either way!
Roll up, roll up! Happy Sunday. Next Sunday could be even happier with this amp head in your life!
Just to note, you don't have to take the flight case if you don't want it, although it would be much better to be couriered in the case.
Here’s my AGUILAR DB751.
I love it, it has served me very well.
Pretty good condition, one hairline scratch just under the DI socket.
The flightcase is a 5U sleeve that fits into a full shock-mount case made by ABS Romford. The outer is road worn but the sleeve it’s self in close to immaculate and all is working perfectly.
Happy to investigate a courier at buyers expense.
let me know if you have any questions.
