There are some reviews on TB varying from positive to middling, so it may not be as bad as that for everyone.
Of course, however most of those people with positive-ish opinions already liked the normal Pandora. I can say without a shadow of a doubt, this is the worst pedal I ever tried. This one guy said about the tuner "First, the tuner is great. Basically a Pitchblack on steroids. Easy to read and responsive." WHAT? This guy CAN'T have a Pitchblack. I had both in the chain. The Pandora would be happy with the tuning, then I'd press on the Pitchblack... off! Usually slightly flat (as I'd tune from flat up) Consistently!!! Pandora's tuner would tolerate me twisting the pegs progressively until it would finally notice tuning was off too late. The Pitchblack signalled it straight away. One good point there I forgot to mention though, rhythms are very good, easily the best thing about this pedal, added that to the review now.
Meh. I actually find it really difficult to get excited about digital multi-fx. They're cool if you're not into pedals and you just want one box to do it all 'alright', but it just sounds very beige to me based on the videos. Maybe I can have a listen up close at the LBGS Si
I saw on Talkbass I think an A/B between this and the OCD and everyone was saying it was awesome, well yeah close enough I guess, but I could definitely tell this more organic attack dynamics on the OCD that made it sound exciting, and that little thing missing from this pedal made it sound dull...

Ok guys, so I went through this so you don't have to 4 letters define this pedal: s h i t. This is probably the worst pedal I ever had. It beats the Zoom 506 in crappiness, decades later. I won't even waste my time going into a lot of detail but basically... Unacceptable:

There's a very noticeable silence when alternating bypass on/off!!!
The tuner is NOWHERE as precise as the Pitchblack. This is my biggest disappointment because if it was nearly there, I could live with all the rest (a Pitchblack with a few extra bits, why not). But this can't replace the Pitchblack, it's just nowhere near reliable enough!
Even with a programme that has all effects off, there's a lot of added noise to signal! What's up with that??? (you can use NR of course, but why should you?? all effects bypassed!!!)
When you're searching through amp models, you sometimes have to cycle through high gain guitar ones to get to the bass ones. There's no way of avoiding this, which meant without knowing I'd get super loud feedback that ruined my ears and I hope didn't ruin my cab! Unbelievably wrong design decision!
Laughable:

Most of the effects are just TERRIBLE (on bass at least). Most of them suck the low end completely. Others just sound lifeless, electronic and fake. Every time I then activated an analog counterpart ahhh home again.
Tracking is awful. I mean it actually tracks fast, but can't sustain an octave on a sustained note for any time at all. Synths are useless but they're not meant for bass anyway...
Most choruses and flangers suck the low end away. Phasers seemed ok, but boring.
Dry sound is always present in pitchshifter.
OK:

Bass amp models were actually ok I thought...
Drum rhythms are good too, even some 5/4 and 7/4 in there.
I didn't like the Zoom B3, so I suppose I wouldn't like the MS-60B which I'm guessing this comes to compete with, but this is nowhere near in the same league. The only point where this beats the B3 is that when bypassed, I hear no changes to the tone, whereas with the B3 I could tell it coloured it. On everything else it's just a joke by comparison. Back to the shop it goes as soon as!!! Ah distance selling regulations, how I love thee.

Hmmm first? Fresh off the packaging, can't wait to try it

I like the effort he took in coming up with an interesting phrase to loop.
I recently changed the patch cables on my bass rack to these fender ones and they seem pretty good, robust and well made. http://www.ebay.co.u...=item20ddf02db9
Those are sexy, if a bit expensive at about £11 a pair for what I can see. Do you get them cheaper somewhere?
never tried the tarkin, but it sure sounds good on the pedals & effects vid - if i didn't have the TFR i'd try one for sure... i don't see the appeal of blending with a muff... it's very much a personal thing I suppose, others have sent W&C muffs to Mat at W&C to add a blend, just because they like that sound if clean signal plus fuzz, but I really REALLY don't!!
I don't like to blend in the sense that you'll clearly hear the clean tone in there, but with the Deluxe BBM I set the Blend at 3 o'c, which is not enough for you to notice the clean bass, but it's enough to add definition to the sound. It's a small difference but it makes all the difference I admit a 'tighter' fuzz won't need this though, might be the case with the TFR, I don't know...
-
What about the Tarkin Fuzz instead of the TFR? I'd still have a blend like on my EHX BBM Deluxe, and I could use a smaller pedal... http://www.cogeffects.co.uk/grand-tarkin-bass-fuzz.php
-
Where can I get a TFR? The only UK dealer listed on W&C's site has no stock of it... Is it worth it to order from overseas?

Thanks, if you can recall the knob positions I'm very curious to try this pedal. Would you say it's possible to get close to a clean Sansamp sound going straight to a desk, so that it acts as an amp+cab modeller in a way?
-
I have a couple questions about this... 1: Can anyone make an A/B recording with a Bass Big Muff or a green Muff clone? 2: Once you recall a setting, is there any way it shows you how your knobs were positioned when you saved it? For example, like this feature in the programmable Sansamp BDDI: "HOW TO FIND A PRESET This is useful when you want to know the position of each knob’s setting in the memory of a channel. When you turn a knob from its stored position, it “unlocks” and the channel indicator LED will blink. The slower the blink, the farther away you are from the preset point. The faster the blink, the closer you are.At the preset point, the LED stops blinking and remains on."

A guitarist I played with always had problems with George L's. Suddenly his board would cut off and he'd have to be searching which cable was doing it. Are George L's unreliable or fiddly or was he just rubbish at it?
Currently just using photos from my phone
Same. Photos into Evernote.

I've tried dozens and I've stuck to these: T-Rex Bass Juice for distortion (if I had loads of money I'd replace it with the Okko Basstard but as it stands, best for my taste at a decent price) EHX Bass Big Muff Deluxe for fuzz The 3 valves in my GK MB Fusion for overdrive
Blimey, how many overdrives???
True, they're going a bit crazy. I didn't know they had a bass wah, I wonder if it sucks tone when bypassed like my 105q. I hate that design though, and that tilt forward to switch on idea, that's exactly when I'd lose my balance and fall off stage

http://www.ehx.com/a...-guide-2014.pdf The EHXtortion looks interesting, wonder how it sounds on bass...

The pan-shaped ones I have tend to stick out of the jack more so they don't save that much space. I've been using Adam Hall cables with Switchcraft plugs for years: http://www.djmmusic.com/p-3744-adam-hall-jack-to-jack-patch-cable.aspx?gclid=CJfXkuTgiLwCFdShtAodPAMAQA

This is a long shot but I'd like to start a band of 2 bass players + 1 drummer. The style would be around: Does It Offend You, Yeah? And So I Watch You From Afar Adebisi Shank Battles Death From Above 1979 Could be mostly instrumental at the start but eventually some vocals would be nice so if you can sing (preferably higher register for contrast) that would be awesome. One of the basses would usually have to be 1 octave up for lead, happy to share that duty. Have a drummer on board and many little song ideas and loops we've started to develop. PM if interested for more info.
The folks that make the 1Spot psu also make various adaptors to convert Boss power plugs to lots of other types. Google it and you may find what you're looking for, and they're cheap too.
Just had a look, doesn't look like they have it. Also, I have a Godlyke Powerall with a load of adapters but none of them fits (or isolates). Diago do an isolator but it only goes up to 110mA I think, and it's Boss plug, same for the GigRig Virtual Batteries... not sure where else to look...
-
It uses a smaller plug than Boss and it draws up to 320mA (says the manual). Being digital, I'm guessing it would need to be isolated to avoid noise. I suppose I'd need an isolator adapter capable of handling that draw, plus it needs to have that smaller plug... Seems hard to get... Does anyone know a solution for this?

I do it like this: Bass Big Muff Deluxe, that's about it really. Plus Guitar Rig's bass rig for the purpose of these recordings. Obviously in the Hysteria case you can hear the filter from the original recording coming through, if it was just my track you wouldn't hear that but it doesn't make much difference in a live situation does it? I've tried to use octavers and filters along with fuzz but I found the octave just muddied everything up and filters totally altered the fuzz character so just fuzz seems to be the most useable way for me. I've had great results on Feeling Good with a Bass MicroSynth though, it sounded HUGE live. But it didn't really work for these 2 tracks.
