How are the synths on the B3?
Am I missing something? You're going to have a jack sticking in that side just below it, which will be longer than the power input anyway (assuming you use a right angle daisy chain/power input), so I don't see how that is an issue at all... ? Or am I missing something...?
Just in that I would feel a bit nervous having the power plug sticking out of the board in case I stepped on it during a gig or something, also since I use a pedaltrain mini with a soft case, wouldn't feel very healthy to have the cable sticking out inside the bag. Linking to what BigBeatNut said, if you have say a Diago board, the jack is not problem because you remove it before closing the board, but the power plug stays in so if you want to leave it plugged you have to move the pedal inside. I'm not saying it's a dealbreaker, just that it would be much better if it was on the top end.

Does anyone else find the power socket on the right side an oversight? Since most people have the tuner as the first pedal, the cable will be sticking out. Also, such a small surface on the first pedal of your chain means at the slightest pull it will come off or move... Of course, you can always move it to some other part of the chain, but just sayin'...
IMHO Deeper Underground sounds best when not using a synth pedal (tracking and such). I use an EBS Octaver, MXR Envelope filter + Fuzz and this comes really close. I tried using Markbass Synth pedal before and I just did not quite sound the part.
I actually ended up getting quite a decent sound with the EHX BMS... I didn't think the Digitech cut it - I missed the octaves. I doubt the SYB will do it without an expression pedal as you can't set filter sensitivity. So it's between the BMS and the Super Synth, which I still haven't tried... Not too keen on the idea of carrying an extra power supply and having to use software to set more detailed parameters, so not in a hurry...

Meh. Sounds kinda disappointing to me. If you like the Tonebender get the SFX Micro Fuzz, I have it and it p*sses all over this.
Out of interest is there a cash price? Or possibly cash + any of the EHX pedals in my sig? (I know it's a bit ambitious! )
Amended above in answer to your question. Not interested in EHX pedals but MarkBass gear in your sig reminded me that I'll take a Super Synth. -
Got an M5 and wish you had an M9? Talk to me, I'm the other way around due to new band Mint condition with power supply and box. Will also swap for the Mark Bass Super Synth. If selling, [s]£210[/s] SOLD including Special Delivery Next Day, cheaper if you collect from East London. PM if interested. Also selling on other posts (or could trade for the M5 or MBSS with cash adjustment): Digitech Bass Synth Wah EBS Unichorus
My absolute favourite though has to be the EBS Unichorus - it does everything a chorus should, and also has the ability to blend the effect with the clean bass sound. It's got a pretty good flanger on it too.
I agree it's great (and I have one for sale in the Effects for Sale section ) but I don't think the flanger is great TBH, which is why I'm selling it because I mostly need flanger. if you are mostly after a chorus, it's great to have that little added versatility there with that flanger, but if flanger is your main thing you're not gonna be satisfied with what this one offers.
...slightly less love for Behringer now as both pedals are now winging there way back from whence they came... Synth pedal refused to track unless I hit the strings with a chair leg and the Octave pedal only gave a satisfactory note with everything wound up full. Sigh.
Regarding the synth, I take it you're using a passive bass? I haven't tried the synth myself but for what I read it needs a good amount of volume coming in to track well, so if you're not using a bass with a hot output you need a boost pedal before the synth...

I haven't actually tried digital delays in a band setting because I don't like their sterile sound in isolation so I never bothered, but I agree that I always felt with the Memory Toy and the CC that it got a bit muddied in a band. I'd only use them in a situation where there would be very little of the other instruments, like at a song intro or quiet interlude. I just don't think delay belongs on bass other than in situations like these anyway, generally speaking...

I also had the Memory Toy and A-B'd it with the CC, if I remember the degradation is darker and more pronounced with the CC, but the Toy has wider range, a bit more extreme. Depends what suits you best, but they are very, very similar. I sold the Toy and kept the CC.
