1. Great video, thx! Does anyone know the neck radius on that bass?
2. Dunlop said they'll send it, cool, thx for the tip!

4.
Do you (or does anyone) know if this can be used as an expression pedal? Im after one for a Boss PS-3... Cheers Dave
No, it doesn't work as an expression pedal, I have the same one and I investigated that in the past.
5. Thanks for the tips, I ended up buying a used EBS Bass IQ from a fellow Basschatter and so far am quite happy with it... I tried them all in the end: MXR - might have been that unit but the effect sounded too weak to me... Micro Q-Tron - rubbish on bass Q-Tron - Ok-ish but huge and requires a 24v adaptor thus defeating my purpose of getting a small filter to take the wah out of my board Didn't try the Enigma but I realised it was too much for what I wanted anyway... EBS seems good - works better with my T-Rex Bass Juice than the wah so I'm happy! So happy I'm getting the Unichorus too :-)
6.
yeah, i emailed Jim Dunlop customer service and they sent 3 battery covers! great service
Hmmm, I tried strings and things and got no reply to my email yet. Will try Jim Dunlop directly.
7. Ordered new from Hot Rox to try it at home but didn't fancy it. I still have 7 days to return it for a refund, but if anyone in London wants to take it from me for £65, or if someone elsewhere wants to pay £65 + postage, it's yours and saves me the work of repackaging, sending back, etc. If collecting, buyer would have to meet me in North or East London. If having it posted, it will be £6.70 on top for RM Special Delivery Next Day. Cheers! RETURNED TO SHOP. CHEERS!
8. That's the one pedal I don't think I'll ever sell even if I'm not using it at the moment (T-Rex Bass Juice suits my current band better). Best fuzz I ever tried on bass full stop, even compared with boutique stuff. The thought of selling it and not being able to find another one if I need it is unbearable :-p Maybe I should get this one for backup actually hehehe... £60 seems VERY reasonable! I'd pay more for it!
9. I broke mine last week... If anyone has one they don't need, I'll pay postage to have it sent to me!!! It's for a 105q but MXR covers are the same... Thanks!
10.
I'll take it please! Contact me with how you want paying etc-cheers.
Done.
11. Come on guys, £15 plus postage (I'm assuming it should be about £2.89 1st class recorded but not sure at the moment) or you can pick up from East London and it's £15 only.
12. In mint condition apart from tiny mark to the left of the "drive" word (you can see it in the picture). Includes box and manual as bought new. £20 shipped or pick up from East London!
13. Following a revamp of my basses I feel I no longer need this pedal, which served me brilliantly for a few years. It's pretty much in mint condition apart from 2 or 3 near invisible marks on the sides. With box and instructions as bought. With velcro underneath but I can put the feet back if the buyer wants it. The feet will be sent with the pedal regardless. These pedals are known for their cheap dodgy switches that don't last long, mine broke in the first month or so and was replaced in the shop by a much better one, so I see this as a plus. Due to the near-mint condition of the pedal, original box and contents, and improved switch, £45 plus postage or buyer can collect from East London. Thanks for looking.
14. Thanks, after a bit more research I've eliminated the Enigma, I think it does simple envelope filter but it does a lot more too that I don't need so it would be a waste of money. I'm also not too hopeful on the MXR after reading some more. I can try the Micro Q Tron, Q Tron and MXR this week, maybe also the EBS. I'm really hoping I love the Micro Q Tron because I love the price already 8-D Where can I buy/try Tonefactor or Boomstick in the UK?
15. I've been using a 105q for years, but the damn thing makes my board weigh a ton and it just happens what I'm using it for now I could do with a filter! So I'm down to these options at the moment and would be very grateful if you could comment on your experience with any of them, or suggest others: EBS Bass IQ - I haven't yet tried an EBS pedal I liked, and the lack of control knobs makes me a bit nervous. Anyone has experience of these? MXR Bass Auto Q - Modelled after the 105q so should be a good option for me? EHX Micro Q Tron - Sounds good on their website but I'm also worried about lack of control and lack of a volume knob. I have the Bass Microsynth and it seems like with the effect on the volume always goes down a bit in a band setting even with all voices up so I'm worried this might have the same problem. If anything, I'd like volume to get a little higher! Could this become a problem? EHX Q Tron - This has a boost knob so it seems like a safe option, but maybe I shouldn't worry and the Micro Q Tron is actually perfectly fine? EHX Enigma Q Balls - This one of course looks very interesting: the option of an expression pedal is very appealing, as I could just add one if I needed a proper wah and sell the 105q. Has anyone tried it with expression? Can this pedal do everything that the Q-Trons do? The thing is it sounds more like a synth on the EHX video and I want just an envelope filter!! Can this sound just like a normal auto-wah kind of thing? I'm also worried about lack of volume control, can this be an issue? I'll obviously try to have a play with all of them eventually but I know it's going to be nearly impossible to find them all so I hope you can let me know your thoughts! Cheers
16. haha brilliant :-D How do you transport it, though?
17. I'm thinking of buying this for those gigs it's not really convenient to drive to, so I'll bring only essential pedals, but I can't find it anywhere in the UK. Any suggestions? Ordering from the US seems too expensive and Thomann has it at £70.79 + postage which also seems a bit too much... Any other suggestions???
18. Interesting how the battery compartment is placed so differently between those 2 basses... Not very precise, those Fender folks... As long as it's that and not the bridge or a pickup, you're very lucky! :-D
19. Bump. Going on eBay tonight. if you're interested and want to make an offer lower than my asking price (not A LOT lower hopefully) PM me and I'll consider it if it doesn't sell on eBay. Cheers! :-)
20. I'm with you, OP! Tried a few Sadowskis recently and was totally unimpressed. Great build but the tone just didn't do it for me. No matter how nicely built I find Warwick, Sadowski, Lakland and other basses to be, I prefer the tone of a cheapo MIM Fender to any of those basses I've tried. In fact, I also preferred the tone of the cheap Skyline Laklands to the US-made ones! The only one that I might consider to replace a Fender Jazz at the moment, would be a US neck-through Spector. Totally different tone, but one I loved probably just as much! Shame the European equivalents don't sound half as good (I suppose due to lacking an Aguilar preamp) and the price tag on the US ones is totally out of my reach...
21. I get the open string, the 12th harmonic and the 12th pressed note all in tune! The pressed 12th is only out of tune if I press hard... Actually, last time I did it I also made sure it was all in tune on the 19th as well as the 12th, as I had read that suggestion somewhere, to use the 19th instead...
22.
Surely if it's a footswitch, then you'd get rid of the automatic turnng on?
Exactly, which I'm trying to avoid...
23. Bump to say this bass will go on eBay from Monday.
24. That's slightly unfortunate, but not uncommon. I can hardly find a Fender USA Deluxe, for example, that will have the strings well centred if sitting on the middle groove of the saddle, and when centred with the neck, they'll most likely not be centred with the pole pieces! You could replace the bridge but keep the old one to put it back if you want to sell it? Or do you REALLY have to play with the original bridge even if it's a bit limited? I don't see the big deal of replacing it. Why do you have to be restricted to the brand and model that they picked at Modulus? They probably didn't choose the best they could find anyway, they chose a good price/quality balance, you can choose something more towards the quality side?
25. Can you have 2 distortions on at the same time, or 2 modulations like chorus and flanger together? How do you compare this to the POD XT Live, like why do you think this is better and what do you think you might be missing out?
