1.
I'd really [b]really[/vb] recommend against using the NS-2.
Hmmm would be nice to know why? What do you recommend for a noisy Russian Big Muff which is on most of the time with gain near max?
 2. Basically, I'd like to know, if you set the pedal for a very strong reduction, when you're playing (and so the gate is open), does the sound come out completely unaffected?
 3. The beige coloured goo lubricating the teeth of my 105q has worn off a lot, what is it, is it something I can buy anywhere or should I get something else to do the same job? About the High Gain volume pedal - from the Harmony Central reviews, it seems like there's some easy way to open it and adjust the pedal's teeth so that you get whatever amount of volume you want in the minimum position (instead of silence, or silence if you want it), is that so?
 4. Interesting, he uses batteries instead of power supply (cables unplugged from the inputs)... I guess he can afford to have a tech replacing batteries every couple of gigs... how environmentally friendly, that and private jet...
 5.
Still trying to avoid buying an EBS Multicomp - anyone tried or got opinions on the TC Electronics Vintage Compressor?
My opinion would be to buy the T-Rex Compnova instead, it's made by the same people with the same parts, but put in a different box with a different name and sold under a different brand. And it's a lot cheaper.
 6. How well does the POG track on bass?
 7.
DOH! Sorry
ROTFL
 8. http://www.bbesound.com/products/stomp_box...usher/index.asp Looks interesting... can't hear the demo coz at work, anyone tried it on bass?
 9.
If you like the EBS Multicomp, I think you should try the Aphex Punch Factory or the BBE Opto Stomp. They both go for about £85...
Actually, these guys are selling the BBE for less than £65 shipped new??? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BBE-Opto-Stomp-stomp...VQQcmdZViewItem
 10.
Like a complete tow-rag, I thought I could get along without a compressor and sold my EBS Multicomp. Big mistake. Anyway, I'm gonna buy something new this week to replace it and wondered if anyone had any experience of Mr Squishy. The reviews I've read seem favourable and at £95, it's £40 cheaper than the EBS.
If you like the EBS Multicomp, I think you should try the Aphex Punch Factory or the BBE Opto Stomp. 11. Maybe he believes that two wrongs make one right... What's that Live Earth thing anyway?
 12. I'm gonna be huge with this one.
 13.
It has to be the whammy, surely?
hmm I wouldn't really need the "whammy" bit, or the expression pedal, I'd be interested in a pedal with a normal small size with just the "harmony" features, so the Whammy would be too much money and space wasted... The Boss Pitchshifter might be what I'm thinking about, but I once tried the Octaver and it tracked terribly between low E and low A so I don't think the Pitchshifter would be much better?
 14. Even better if it adds the notes down too...
 15. So I'll be changing from a Pedaltrain to a larger Diago. Up to now I could fit the CryBaby's feet between the bars of the Pedaltrain. Now I'll have to remove the feet and their screws are too long to go all the way inside the pedal without the feet, so they stick out half a centimeter or so... So what's the best/easiest/most common way of solving this? Are shorter screws common and easy to find for this?
 16.
Anyone know about the Artec 'Big Dots' tuner? Is it any good? Acurate? http://cgi.ebay.ie/Artec-Big-Dots-Tuner-Pe...9QQcmdZViewItem I see Artec also do a graphic equalizer pedal with a tuner built in too!
I read a couple of reviews saying it's absolute rubbish.
 17.
In order to really put our guitarist off just as he launches into the umpteenth solo I've added a pedal to my arsenal. Question is, is there a preferred order in which they should be placed and is there a maximum length I should be using for the leads to and from the amp effects loop (have to use it in there due to some form of impedance problem when driving the front of my Thunderfunk). I presently run my pedals right to left but where does the new edition (bassballs) go, I'm unlikely to be using it in conjunction with the small stone (but then again ). My bass is Warwick and active if that has any bearing on the lead length (don't see how it can but you never know). Cheers guys
I think I'd run them as octave > bassballs > stone > chorus, but ultimately, you have to swap them around and see what sounds best to you... Patch cables should be as short as possible, usually 15 to 30 cm but it doesn't make much difference... What I would do is get better cables than those. I used to have similar and they sucked tone. I only use Dave Hall cables with Switchcraft plugs now...
 18. Got a Russian Big Muff for the place of the Little Big Muff... Do EHX pedals' sound still differ a lot between the units like with the old models? I once bought a Russian Big Muff and I returned it coz it sounded so muddy you couldn't distinguish the notes if u played a little faster, and it was so bassy the wah didn't do anything to it. This one sounds completely different! Lots of clarity! But I think it has a little less gain than the other one too... As for the Little Big Muff, my brother in law bought one and it sounded amazing, the one I bought, I struggled to get a good sound off it... I thought the days of dodgy quality control at EHX were long gone...?
 19.
If you use a diasy chain is MIGHT short it. My old Mutron did this when I tried to use two batt clips. I think that it is because essentially you join up the grounds.
Yeah, that's one of the things I thought might happen... bollocks... Guess I'll have to get one of these then... http://www.diago.co.uk/component/page,shop...art/Itemid,206/ Hope they're safe.
 20. The pedal (Stereo Chorus) requires 2 batteries, of course. It's just so I could put away the heavy 18v adaptor and just power it with 2 plugs from my 9v adaptor... Will it work normally?
 21.
Did you know that TCE license all their designs from Tresx? I didnt until today.
Wow, by what I just read, TCE vintage pedals are made by T-Rex, same specs as their pedals, just different cases and names!!??? So the Bass Juice is same as TCE Vintage Bass Dist... but a lot cheaper!!! Cool :-D

 23. Btw (and apologies for jumping the topic myself) but what's your experience with the POD's tuner? The guitarist in my new band uses a POD and tunes with it, and more often than not it doesn't sound quite right and doesn't seem to match my TU-2... It might be his guitar though, or maybe he's just a bit crap...
 24. I like the Boss BF-2B Bass Flanger, and eBay is probably also your best bet to get it...
 25.
Hi. I’ve just bought a T-Rex Bass Juice and I can’t get any good sounds out of it. I’m looking for natural overdrive then fuzz when the boost is hit. Has anybody got one or used one and if so can you recommend any good settings. Any style will do. Cheers, Fatman.
I always set gain on the 7th dot (counting from left). Everything else between 5th and 8th, depends on setup, room, band, etc, so this is pretty useless... You have to go with your ears! I use these settings with boost off and then turn it on in some sections. In another band where I only use a much noiser distortion, I set tone around 11th and mix around 12th. Boost is always on in this case.
