The other Ditto's do not really interest me, again it is just the basic one switch no memory banks looper pedal I am looking at. The Digitech looks good too, and again looks better than the Ditto, but has a slightly smaller memory than the Boss (10 vs 12, not that it would ever be used!) and no loop progress LEDs... Are they all the same sound quality? The Ditto and Digitech boast 24 bit, but the Boss does not seem to release this spec?
Well spotted omission. The RC-3, RC-30 and RC-300 are 16bit, so probably so is the RC-1 and Thomman says so on their product page.

There's a few more Ditto versions now. There's also a Digitech looper that's simple like the Ditto

I quite like the Colorsound stuff, I had the sfx clone and it was good but it didn't cut through very well, it didn;t have the Mid switch so maybe it's better now. Would be very curious to try that Rhinosaur
+1, it's why I sold mine. I contacted Doug and got instructions on how to add a gain pot, bought the pot and everything but then chickened out of modding a brand new expensive pedal with my lack of soldering skills!
Yup, if there was a gain knob I'd have kept it because I really liked the character of the fuzz(es) in it. IMO it's a major design flaw.
Dark glass Duality. Awesome thing!
I didn't like that there was no gain knob. Only sounded right if I turned the volume down on my bass.

So I'm confused, are those 11 models the ones that we'll have from now on? So there's no Mini? The only one with 2 rails is the Nano+, then I'd have to go for one with 3 rails which I'd only want if I was using a wah... Am I missing something? EDIT: oh, I get now that the 3rd rail only adds 1 inch to the mini... good stuff then. Might upgrade to that.

I have a mint COG Grand Tarkin in the for sale section if you decide to go that route. I can vouch that it meets all your criteria especially the Mids part, with its dedicated Mids knob.

Alternatives to Diago isolator cable / GigRig virtual battery?
1976fenderhead replied to 1976fenderhead's topic in Effects
About the same, around £22 shipped... I remember buying one when James made them by hand for £15 though, so a bit annoyed at having to pay £22 for the new made in China mass-produced versions... -

How were / are you powering the POG? Does it have its own isolated supply?
-
That's really weird, sounds like a fault, it's not what I was experiencing with the Nano.
-
Did you have the Big Muff before or after the POG? Edit: sorry, just read the original post. Did that happen even if the Big Muff was off?

Nano POG vs Behringer Ultra Harmonist... Behringer wins!?

Did I just make you notice it now? :/ -
Nano POG vs Behringer Ultra Harmonist... Behringer wins!?
1976fenderhead replied to 1976fenderhead's topic in Effects
Yeah tried the PS6 now, the octave up always sounds like it has some sort of modulation / reverb on it... No latency though, but I prefer the Behringer over it. The Pitch Fork though, is the overall winner and staying on my board! -
The Pitchfork is apparently another very good pitch shifter.
I've just been playing with the Pitch Fork at home, also AB'd with the Behringer, and the Pitch Fork faired excellently! I no longer have the Nano POG at home, but against the Behringer I could notice no delay with the Pitch Fork and the octave up sound was noticeably better than the Behringer's which was wharbly by comparison. The Pitch Fork is also super versatile and fun, so it annihilates the Nano POG in my opinion, only thing against it being the lack of dry/wet outputs and that once you mix in the wet signal it adds volume to the existing dry signal and there's no overall volume control, but that's not a big deal for me. Finding really weird that there's a delay in the Nano POG considering an older pedal like the Pitch Fork doesn't have that problem... Maybe they effed up the algorithm in the Nano or I had an early dodgy unit... Tomorrow I'll AB the Pitch Fork against the PS6 and see what happens but this pedal seems like a keeper. -

I'll be very curious to read your views once you have it since you'll be able to compare them as well. Regarding the delay, it probably wouldn't be so obvious if I didn't have the Behringer to contrast with it, so I don't think it will be easy to spot in a video. -
So, I had the Behringer (not a big fan of the octave up tone but got some good sounds with a Muff on top) and I got the new Nano POG... Never played a POG before and was sure it would rock, since Royal Blood etc etc... I AB'd them and... I prefer the Behringer! :-O As for tone, they're very different but I couldn't decide which had the better sounding octave up... probably the POG but so slightly that it doesn't warrant the 10x price tag of the Behringer... But what killed it for me was the octave up delay... There's a very noticeable delay with the POG while the octave up with the Behringer is absolutely immediate! I'm wondering if it's a problem with the new algorithm of the Nano or if the other POGs are the same??? The additional consequence of this delay is that whenever I put the octave up loud enough to be well heard (from 11o'c minimum) it would create this added reverb/echo effect due to the disparity in the attacks... However, with the Behringer, no such problem: straight up 2 clear simultaneous notes. Anyone else has this experience with the other POGs? I'm so impressed with the Behringer that I've ordered the original to check it out (Boss) and will also try the new MO-2 which I'm curious about... The Nano POG is going back to the store in a couple of days and my long-running POG gas is dead and buried :-/
Yeah, I have bothered to argue my point in the past but it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I saw it more as a rental fee to try the pedal out. But I will be making mental notes of which retailers crap return policies so I can avoid them in future!
There's also the possibility that if you contested it and they wanted to be real dicks, they could say that you damaged the packaging or the pedal and deduct some money for that anyway and there's nothing you could do about it, the online returns equivalent of spitting on your burger
