1.
Either way I wouldn't mind a bash on 1. What's the damage going to be?
Looking at the US price + VAT I'd say we're looking at 95 - 100 quid...
 2. You say transformation function and hardware performance, I say tracking. Transformation function, hardware performance, tracking... let's call the whole thing off.
 3.
The POG doesn't do any tracking. This is also a digital pitch shifter so - again - it won't do any tracking. So yeah, it will track just as well as the POG.
http://www.ehx.com/products/micro-pog "The Legenday and classic original POG won top awards from every major magazine on every continent for its flawless polyphonic tracking and musical flexibility. The Micro POG delivers the same perfect tracking and smooth polyphony in a simplified design. Now in a small pedalboard-friendly diecast chassis, the Micro POG delivers and will blow you away the first time you use it." http://www.ehx.com/products/pog2 "Flawless polyphonic glitch-free tracking" "Steel guitar demo with the POG2 Polyphonic Octave Generator showing the pedal’s impeccable tracking." Those bloody EHX liars
 4. GAAAAASSSSS! http://www.ehx.com/products/pitch-fork Do you guys think this will track on bass as well as the POG?
 5. Free cables everyone, freeeee cables. Get them while they're hot. Can meet in London and give them to you, I have no use for them and hate to bin stuff that works perfectly fine.
 6. Really liked it... Wonder if a chorus instead would still sound that good. I tend to go the chorus route for things like that.
 7.
Still available. Took to the post office to see how much it would cost to post...£13!!!!
Cheaper with Hermes maybe?
 8.
Must say I've have no problems with my mini 2 noir. I'm using a Precision with quarter pounders. Works with both pick and fingers. As mentioned, maybe you just have a bit of a funny one. Would be worth asking TC to see if they know what's going on.
Yeah, seems like I should give that a go.
 9.
try holding the other strings while you pluck the one you want, it'll kill the extra harmonics.
Tried that as said above, no difference.
 10. All my basses do have a jazz pickup configuration but selecting only 1 pickup makes no difference. The only thing that eliminates the problem is using fingers only. They are well set tup too...
 11. I've just tested it with my 5-string bass and exactly the same thing happens: it does not have problems tuning between E and B, what it does have a problem with is detecting immediately that only 1 one string is being plucked in those registers and not all of them at the same time (erroneously displaying the poly screen for a second before correcting itself). So although tuning is accurate once it corrects itself, this problem with their 'MonoPoly' system makes tuning a bit slower. Would be better if we could deactivate Poly tuning altogether. Again, bizarrely this only happens with pick and not with fingers, exactly same results with both basses.
 12.
I've got a polytune 2 tuner and I find mine will track almost any bass tuning situation providing I pluck the string at the octive so to speak.
Harmonics and upper frets have been mentioned a few times here, if that's how I have to tune between D and B with this pedal then remind me again what's the point of the Polytune vs the Pitchblack or TU-3 which have no problems with open strings for those tunings? Thought the Polytune was better? I'm keeping this Mini for space-saving reasons but I suppose I won't be selling the Pitchblack after all for when I have more room again, since it seems superior after all...
 13.
Mine does a low D, low B, even if I drop that to A, without issues. Then again I use my fingers when tuning. Probably just some strange resonance coming from your bass at that pitch that confuses it slightly.
So it seems... Was that with a standard or mini version?
 14.
PS - I don't know this tuner, but are there different modes? Are you switched to the right mode for chromatic tuning?
It's supposed to detect whether you plucked all strings or just one and show the appropriate display. So it's thinking for a second that I plucked more than one and then it realises it was wrong, basically...
PPS - The web site says it can do drop D. Check your set up.
Yes, but then again that could be just for guitar. AFAIK the original Polytune Mini didn't do polyphonic tuning for basses although that wasn't clearly stated anywhere, and it seems to be the case with this one as well...
 15. I got this pedal today and only tested for a bit at home, I notice that when I'm trying to tune the 4th string in D, when I pluck the string it shows the polyphonic display for a second or so before it shows the normal monophonic screen... This happens even if I mute the other strings, but only happens with pick and not with fingers I haven't tried it with my 5-string yet to see how it handles the B... Has anyone had this experience with the Mini and lower tunings?
 16. Yeah I nearly bought this but then realised normal pedals would stick out top and bottom, phew.
 17.
Does it play nice with active basses and other pedals is the question - the mammoth doesn't by all accounts, but the mastotron, which is a similar circuit, has an input impedance control to handle actives.
I've read somewhere (Talkbass?) that it really needs a passive signal.
 18. I can't tell the difference in sound between this and the Woolly Mammoth, at least from the videos. Have I just made a sacrilegious statement?
 19. Some used cables for sale. I have briefly checked the ones with plugs and they seem to be fine with no breakages. Don't know how the other cables are but I expect them to be ok too. No guarantees though!

Red Proel noiseless cable 2.95m
Red Proel noiseless cable 90cm
Red Proel noiseless cable 1m with straight plugs
Blue noiseless cable 4.30m with blue plugs, has some noise apparently coming from a plug (changes when I move the cable near it)
Blue noiseless cable 4.30m with silver plugs
[s]£10.00[/s] FREE if you collect in east or central London. (£7.50 if I post them).
 20. Happy with the TC Corona, but haven't tried the MXR or the Tech 21... No crossover on the Corona but you have a Tone knob and I find that does a similar job...
 21. This post made me discover this actually... http://digitech.com/en-US/products/rp360 Interesting alternative to the M5 (for the 85 FX models, since amp and cab models are guitar only). I wonder how well it does...
 22. http://www.ehx.com/products/nano-looper-360 Not swapping my Jamman for this, but it solves TC loopers' biggest shortcoming by allowing you to store a decent number of loops in the unit for only a tiny increase in footprint vs the Ditto. With the right price this will be very interesting. Needs a way to transfer those stored loops to a computer though... Guess you can always play it to a DAW and record there but still...
 23.
if reverb is the main concern, then line 6 for me. tried both and for me the m series sounds better. cant go wrong with its modulations and delays either.
Exact same here, so the OP made the right decision IMO
 24. Similar to above, just add EQ http://www.ehx.com/products/headphone-amp
