1.
I was told it had been discontinued and replaced with the wd7 jr, which doesn't have any of the good bits If it's not discontinued I'm very happy!
What's the Jr version missing?
 2.
It's a very nice inexpensive wah, I can't imagine why Ibanez would discontinue it.
What do you mean, it's not discontinued. It's on their website. Can anyone tell me how the buffer is on it? I love the 105q but hate that it sucks tone like crazy... Might give this one a go one day if it doesn't suck tone...
 3.
No worries mate, like I said I learnt something whilst trying it! The good thing about Amplitube is that you can download the custom shop version (where they charge a fortune for each amp, cab, effect etc.) and get a couple of free amps/cabs to try out.
The Fender, Orange and Ampeg models are outstanding.
 4. Haven't used it live, but AFAIK: - you're stuck with what it has (and it has only 1 bass amp) - you can use it standalone, no need for any DAW - never used modifiers so can't help you there If you wan't more options I'd look into Amplitube.
 5. Standard volume = Maximum volume.
 6. Youtube's your friend.
 7.
Nobody mentioned Death From Above 1979 yet? killer bass tone.
Only the OP
 8. Regarding the BDDI having scooped mids, you can counter that by cutting Bass and Treble (and increasing Volume to compensate). That way you will 'boost' mids. That is by design and several other pedals and audio hardware use the same EQ system.

 10. Don't know if my opinion will help in anyway but here goes... I've owned a Programmable BDDI, a VT Bass v2 and now have a normal BDDI on my board. I just didn't get on with the VT Bass. Could never work out the Character knob, in my opinion it overcomplicates, it interacts a lot with the Drive knob and I could never find a balance that satisfied me. I also felt it lacked a Blend knob (solved in the DI version) and a Presence knob because with cab sim on I wanted to reduce it and with cab sim off it sounded too 'boxy' and I wanted to increase it. So it never felt right for me. I prefer the BDDI: since I have fuzz going into it I use it with low drive and I cut presence a little so I get a setting that to me sounds somewhat between cab sim on and off on the VT Bass. I also use it at slightly less than 100% wet which lets some of my dynamics and my bass's tone cut through. I used to feel the VT Bass killed my dynamics and attack too much. As for the programmable version, I like looking at a pedal and knowing instantly what settings it has at that moment, I don't like having a sound that doesn't correspond to the current knob positions so I sold it and am much happier with the simple version. I'll say though, that I don't like the overdrive sound on the BDDI, never really take Drive past noon, while on the VT Bass I liked it. I have a Sansamp not for distortion though, just to add some scooped warmth. Never tried the Paradriver, could do with the Mid control, not sure if I'd be happy giving up Presence...
 11. I was a big defender of soldered quality cables with quality plugs, some bought made and some soldered by myself, but I went for Lava Tightrope recently which are an easier system than their previous one and never looked back. Practical, quick, space-saving and everything sounds clearer and livelier than before, although to be fair my previous cables, though good quality were already several years old and I could tell some had developed tone-sucking while others not so much...
 12. Bought a Sansamp BDDI from Damon. Shipped quickly Special Delivery and the pedal is in great condition.!Great guy to deal with, recommended!
 13.
I have tried the normal Flashback and I own the mini and it is a great feature to have and soooo easy. When you hold your foot down the pedal mutes itself while you do the tap/strum thingy... let go and ready to start. I tend to have more rhythm in my hands than my feet anyways... LOL
Problem with the feature is you can't correct the tempo while playing. So say you set it to your drummer, then start playing. Inevitably it will go off-sync. With normal tap tempo you can keep correcting it as you play, with this feature you can't because it mutes you (unless you have some pauses in your playing along the way).
 14. Thor got a TFR from me a while ago. All went well, trustworthy, great guy to deal with!

 16. Really chuffed with my 1st Cog pedal, certainly there will be more to come! Also, new Lava Tightrope cables, great system! Can finally fit all the pedals I wanted in this board! 17.
Thanks
Forgot to say there's a catch though, the FX Level is unassignable, so it always controls FX Level, which means if for example you set the Tone knob to control Feedback, you're one short to control Delay Time by comparison with the Vortex pedal. You can set any knob to control up to 3 parameters though, but that starts getting messy. Basically, you could achieve a better sound than the MXR's Flanger with the Toneprint editor, but it better be set and forget on most parameters because you won't be able to control as many on the fly.
 18.
I'm interested in this discussion also. Been checking out a few YouTube videos for each and I can't say I'm convinced about the flanger option on the bass deluxe version. I'll probably be more inclined to go for the analogue chorus myself.
You might want to check out the TC Corona Chorus. With the Toneprint editor you can create a Flanger sound and have it as your Toneprint on the pedal, along with the Chorus and Trichorus options.
 19. Taking the plunge on these... Lava, George L's, Diago, Planet Waves, any other? Which do you recommend? Inclined towards Lava at the moment due to the smaller plugs...
 20. Sale suspended!!!! Still don't have my replacement cables, will put these up again when I do.
 21. Decided to upgrade my patch cables so selling a few... 4x leads with flat plugs, 18cm top of plug to top of plug. 4x Adam Hall leads with what I'm guessing are Switchcraft plugs but not sure, about 24cm top of plug to top of plug. One is very slightly shorter than the others because I repaired it. 1x Adam Hall lead, 31cm top of plug to top of plug. £1 each + postage. 22. Well, curiosity had the better of me and I ordered a TFR from the states. Great pedal, fuller-sounding than the Bass Big Muff which sounds a bit shallow by comparison, unfortunately it doesn't interact well with my GK's EQ I really like to use Contour to scoop a little my clean sound and it has a great effect on the BBM too, but I don't like how it makes the TFR sound, it's like it's made for a flatter-EQ'd amp... I also find even without Contour the mid focus of the TFR is at a frequency that I don't find as pleasant as the BBM's, which I find more throaty and violin-like. This is all with pick by the way, which is how I mostly use fuzz. I have to say that with fingers and mid gain the TFR is a KILLER, but at high gain and with a pick its mids tire my ears very quickly... I'm still not sure what to do because I really wanted to like this but unless someone tells me a magic secret on how to get a BBM-beating tone from this with my amp it's looking like it's hitting the 'for sale' section pretty soon... Maybe I'll give the Tarkin a go. Edit: hmmm, seems to be growing on me now, liking it more with the fuzz up to 2 o'c and slight tweaks/compromises on the amp's EQ. At certain settings it seems to blow the BBM out of the water. Guess I'll give this a go with the band after all.
 23.
According to mxr/ west side rep it is essentially the m80 with no drive and sweep able mids
And without the Color button, which frankly was the best thing about that pedal.
