  1. These are great - have a bump on me...though I have done 15 years of theatre work (incl.pro stuff) and I've NEVER once used a volume pedal He he.
  2. Yeah the OC2 is a keeper - but you'll pick one up again easily enough if you want one - they come up pretty regularly for sale. The COG is grea too though because of the filter knob - can really get a great range of sounds going on! As for transcription - well funnily enough I reckon you've got a massive advantage by being able to read / understand notated music already - you just need to accept that working it out is going to be a slow but gradual process - one bar a day kind of thing and just start doing it. It will be SO GOOD for your ears / self development and you confidence as well. Believe me it's worth spending time on - you won't regret it! start now and do some every day for the rest of your life. If you want you can send me your finished transcriptions and I'll check them over - that helped me a lot in the beginning when I was starting out!
  3. Thanks - yes OC2 indeed - good ears sir! Yes, I'm just trying to emulate that specific sound as I think it's great. Though getting the sound is only half the battle - transcribing LOTS of keyboard synth lines is the other half as keys players definitely approach lines with a slightly different mentality - which is proving a lot of fun learning about. Your new project sounds absolutely ace - very jealous!!
  4. Strange. Can you send you the file direct if you want? Wierd.
  5. Here's a short demo clip of me trying to cop a synth sound - original track on the RH and my bass on the LH....let me know your thoughts? This is the Moeer LoFi pedal plus an octaver. SYNTH BASSS DEMO CLIP.m4a
  6. I like it so far see below. It's maybe a little noisy but in the mix you won't hear that.
  7. I think it's great. Just going to try and upload a short clip now I didn't find that to be the case - but each to their own
  8. The Moeer lofi is a cheap entry point into this world. I've just got one and am pretty impressed with it so far. Am sure may end up upgrading but at least it's allowing me to try out sounds / develop ideas etc £54 from GAK - can't go wrong!
  9. Great comms, pedal as described, super quick turnaround. ALL GOOD HERE!
  10. 'To play my game boy as a synth'....literally no words for this. Possibly the best sentence I've read all year. HOW DO YOU DO THIS?
  11. Cool. Would love to hear some sound clips / video footage of it in action. It looks amazing!
  12. Which Glou-glou pedal? They look amazing. I though the Sonnus was very poor and a waste of money....
  13. Interested in the MXR preamp. Will await pics!
  14. Hmm. I didn't find it to be the most responsive of pedals to be honest. My experience of filter pedals is increasingly that they're quite delicate beasts and input level, type of string, playing style can have a big impact upon how they sound....so I sold it. I found the MXR one to be the same to be honest. Yet the Groove Regulator is fantastic, as is the Fwonkbeat. The Engima Q Balls is variable - good on some basses, suspect on others!
  15. Just bought a Fwonkbeta pedal from Pete and could not have been easier. Great commas thoughout, next day delivery. All good. Thanks a million. Highly recommended!
