  1. There are two Cables to choose from: Vince or OBBM. One them is of no use to you at all.
  2. Agreed to both points one and two from a serious view. Less seriously, however, my playing could sometimes be referred to as a load of balls. Does that count?
  3. Congrats. I have the Hyper Luminal and love it too.
  4. You may also want to wait to try the new Mesa WD-800. That is coming out in Jan albeit at around £1,200 (ouch). I am going to give it a play with my Big Twin II.
  5. HMV was not profitable when Hilco took it on. It had already collapsed and Hilco assumed the £176m HMV debt when they bought. They also kept the majority of the stores open maintaining the jobs of the staff until now. in response to Al Krow, the store made a loss of nearly £17m against sales of £970m in its last year of trade before Hilco took it on.
  6. This may get taken down and apologies if it offends anyone or breaks some site rules, but, to me there is no denying the earlier allure of Kylie:
  7. No hatred here at all, but the two basses I could never get a decent sound out of were my G&L M2000 and a Musicman Stingray 5HH. Great instruments in the right hands I am sure, but not in mine.
  8. I have not bought a lot this year but my Darkglass Hyper Luminal compressor has really impressed me. Nothing really bad bought so I will just say my wurst purchase was the sausage making machine.
  9. I have just bought the Darkglass HyperLuminal and whilst I cannot for certain say it makes a massive difference in my playing, the difference in has made in tone to my Roscoe Century is huge. Not tried it with my other guitars, but with the Roscoe it is a keeper (for now!)
  10. I would not normally post a link to another forum, however, five seconds of internet search produced this: https://www.talkbass.com/threads/nbd-review-jericho-alpha-5.1345982/
  11. I am not a knowledgeable fan but do enjoy the nicely laconic bass line in this:
  12. Nope. If anything, mine amplify the bass due to a slight deadening of the trebles.
  13. It may be easier to get a cheap day return by rail and have him meet you at the station. You will lose a day, but a) you will get to see if the bass is what they said it was and b) also be able to get it home safely. Whoops, just seen the post above. Same idea.
  14. I have one and love it. Especially as a lightweight travel kit. Headphones, MP3 player and bass plugged in. All mixes beautifully and a good battery life. Never used it for any other use, however.
  15. Simmer Down is one of my favourites. I heard them live at the Big Feastival last year.
  16. No neck dive on my American P, although I always wear a strap, even sitting down.
  17. You are getting confused with Abba’s early start making songs for the fetish industry. “Take a squarnch on me” only became popular when they rewrote the lyrics.
  18. Are you interested in any trades? I have an all black Fender Jazz Deluxe 4 with both the original preamp and John East Retro Deluxe Preamp (installed) plus OEM hard case I could trade, plus some cash your way. ?
  19. If that is not click bait, nothing is. I opened this thinking it was about a certain cycling fetish. I am not angry, just disappointed.
  20. When I last signed into this thread, I thought I sawdust and left. Glad to see we are still chipping away at this, though.
  21. I don't know. It is perhaps less important than Slough, whilst perhaps more interesting.
