This is all wavy over my head. The only Podcast I can think of relates to a 2015 film. The cast of Pod included Lauren Carter and Larry Fessenden amongst others. On a more serious note, although an old fart, I would not be able to listen to a two hour broadcast, I have the attention span of a nat. Short and punchy and I will give it a go. I would also suggest that it would have to include content not on the forum to encourage listeners but without gaining them at the expense of the forum - for those that do not listen to podcasts.

In England there is apparently a 1 in 37.3 chance of meeting someone who plays / has played / owns / owned a bass guitar. That is according to my book of entirely made up facts.

The Cor Anglais Eloquent Discussion Forum is quite good. Keep away from Sackbuttchat however, it is not what it seems.

Africa - like you've never heard it before?

Certainly not me, can't stand the song. -
The way we were... in defence of Later (sort of ...)

For me, I will always remember Bettye Lavette’s rejig of Let Me Down Easy. -
We obviously have different definitions of a tribute band. I take them as a band that plays the music of band, probably singular. They do not have to dress up or look the same, in my book. And certainly not a silly comment compared to what you wrote, in my opinion.

I guess that makes any current orchestra playing Mozart or Schubert etc just sad nonsense. The Caterham Seven must also fit into your banding too. Perhaps troll should also revert to being an ugly dwarf to avoid being sad nonsense

I’d Rather Go Blind is there. A / B-7 / D / A apparently. As is All Night Long. I am sure others are too. They are just the first two I looked for. I don’t mean to be rude and do no have what you want, but at least some are there for you.

Have you tried looking in the iRealPro forums? That is where most of the stuff is.

I thought I saw the word “it” in the title and completely miss read the rest of it. The actual thread content was therefore not what I was expecting.

Rocknroller R6RT, but perhaps I should not post that; I actually have yet to use it.

There's more than just bass cabs to argue about

I remember seeing these in a HiFi shop in SW London many years ago. Glad to see there are still selling, even if just made from Birch plywood! https://www.audioemotion.co.uk/tannoy-westminster-royal-gr-loudspeakers-459-p.asp Other speakers, including much more expensive ones are available. Such as these for example. http://www.tonepublications.com/review/sonus-faber-aida-loudspeaker/ -
Bridge cover only for me; on my P bass. Looks great as far as I am concerned.

The Bose QCs apparently have the best sound cancelling, if not the absolute best music reproduction. One thing with cordless ones is that they have to be switched off on take off and landing for some airlines, whereas most others now will allow the corded ones to be used. I also have the Sennheiser Momentum II and the are superb, but are cordless, hence the discovered airline issue. Therefore I just bought a second set of the just discontinued QC25s from Amazon for £180 and highly recommend those, if you can find them. My wife and I use them all the time for flying. Be sure to pick the ones for your 'phone, however (Samsung / Apple etc) if you want the full capability of the corded remote. When at home the Sennheiser are my go to, but they are £ 300ish.

Smoothhound for me too. Great bit of kit.

Hi Laura, I moved from a 4 to a 5 string a couple of years ago and would definitely not go back. Like you I find the extra string useful. BTW I think we have the same tutor, Jamie and he uses both 5 and 4 string bases. I say go for it.

Not aimed at me, I know, but her show is one of only two three radio programmes I make a specific point of always listening too. Her range of played music is superb, but one does have to have be able to accept that for the show to work. Great stuff. PS the other two being The News Quiz and I’m Sorry I Haven’t a Clue.

PR does have a decent blues programme at a decent time on a Sunday. 12.00hrs to 13.00hrs rather than 02.00hrs in the morning like some earlier shows.

Very very fortunate indeed, but not luck. I did give myself a heart attack at 40 to get here.
