Rest of the bass… curious about the one piece pickguard though… what would a fair offer be on this?
-
Thankyou for the reply, that sort of price range is what I’ve currently found, always nice to have these things confirmed somewhat

Hi all, has been a while since I last posted on here looking to buy a bass off of a friend and in the interests of offering a fair price I need some help from the one picture I have so far it’s a black logo, mid 90’s jazz bass, can anyone offer any advice on what would be a fair offering?

Not bass related but hoping someone might be able to help recently acquired an orange guitar head, reverb doesn’t work, at all took the head apart and found the wires inside the tank (it looks) have been cut off, seems a simple job to solder them back on but can anyone tell me if it matters which way round the go?! i.e. green or black at the top or bottom or should it not matter much?! if anyone knows what those plastic connectors (there’s only one left) are called or where I can find some, that might be a tidier solution many thanks in advance

So I’ve been looking for a project, stumbled upon the idea of converting a squier bronco to a bass vi quick bit of research and then found a bronco, not far from me, for a fair price, collecting next week so I’m starting to look around for bits… as far as I understand it, in regards to parts all I need is… new bridge new nut set of tuners new strings and Robert’s your fathers brother Question 1… what bridge would work?! Would a “standard” guitar bridge work or do I need to look for something specific, I’m thinking more along the lines of string spacing if here, I wondered if a normal hard tail strat type bridge with threaded saddles might do the trick? Question 2… any advice on how / where to mark for the new / extra tuner holes? Are there templates for this or is there an idiot proof method for getting it right? any thoughts / comments / experience gladly received

@Buddster that’s pretty much what I was after, do you have any links to the bits you got at all?!

up for grabs I have a good condition copy of Soul Fingers - The Music & Life of Legendary Bassist Donald Duck Dunn By Nick Rosaci Book is in great condition and has the download codes for the audio guides included, I haven’t looked at it for more than 6 months so figure it’s time to move it on Fantastic book with some great lessons and better tunes from a true legend all prices include UK postage open to cash offers / trades / swaps Happy to discuss collection from Maldon, Essex or meet up in the middle somewhere

@SuperSeagull That’s pretty much what I’m looking to do… Trying to work out the best way of securing the plug to the board
-
After much deliberation, I’ve decided it’s time to move my copy of Tim Tindalls "What Duck Done" bass transcription book on Fantastic book with some great lessons and better tunes from a true legend This is the first edition so all music is in notation form, no tab, it comes with both original CDs and is in generally good condition, the covers are a little dog eared, all pages inside, plastic binding and cd’s are still in great condition I’ve no idea what these things are worth so looking to get what I paid for it what seems a looonngg time ago If anyone can advise if I have over-valued it / asking much too much, please do give me a nudge and I’ll adjust as necessary Price includes UK shipping Happy for anyone to collect from Maldon, Essex, or mutual meeting spot Also happy to consider cash offers / trades / swaps I will get some pictures up later today and will be listing a selection of other books I have that are looking for new homes…

That could be the one as what you say makes a lot of sense Will have to figure out a way of attaching it to the board
-
Not sure I COMPLETELY get what you mean?! are you talking about one of these? if you meant replacing the mains 3 pin plug with one of these https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/iec-connectors/8117213 that’s pretty much what I was after as I can’t see that this on its own has any sort of electrical overload protection
-
@John Cribbin didn’t think of spade connectors but that’s a great point @BigRedX I see your point regarding the shrouds, was also thinking maybe some heat shrink over each wire / spade connector
-
I THINK something like this with a 10a fuse and screw terminals would be just the ticket, just can’t find one with screw terminals https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/iec-connectors/8117213 happy to be corrected or pointed in the direction of something like this with screw terminals or how I would safely wire this one up
-
Close to what I mean yes what I’m looking to do is screw the iec socket (as pictured in my original post) to my board and connect that to an extension lead that will be secured underneath the board. In theory, I’d like a pedalboard that can be powered by plugging in a regular kettle lead like this mostly inspired by something like this (as circled) main concerns are fusing really as the socket I’m after (as pictured in original post) doesn’t appear to have any type of electrical protection, I’m not sure if something like that can be wired onto maybe an already fused extension outlet
-
Hey all, apologies for the potentially stupid question… currently building a pedalboard and would like to be able to power the whole thing from a kettle lead so my question(s)… can anyone advise as to how I can wire up one of these to one of these… what would I need and how can it be done? many thanks in advance y’all
