Cheers @Maude, appreciate the advice and well wishes might take a tonne of pictures during the process and throw up a “look what I did” post in the builds section when it’s done
-
Thankyou for the heads up, no need to apologise! The point you made had been mentioned previously by someone else also, not really something I had considered previously to be honest after mulling it over, think I’m gonna go with the plan of just painting, see how it goes, if it does start getting a bit ugly I think I’ll consider the pickguard route then but for now, think I’m just gonna see what happens really
-
Ah unfortunately it’s nothing that involved or complicated, he’s just going to fill the existing pickup routes on my sr300 and re-route for a PJ configuration. I plan to paint the body, neck and headstock all black and that’s about as exciting as it gets really still trying to decide whether I want to retain black hardware or go for gold

Thanks @Maude will send him a message, see if he can help out

And just like that...all my searching gets trumped! Thank you for that!

£30 ONO gets it to your door Up for sale / swaps / trade are the active pickups and associated circuitry / loom that I have just taken out of my Ibanez SR300 due to a bit of a reconfiguration pickups both have stickers on the underside indicating EXF 4ST F (Neck Pickup) EXF 4ST R (bridge pickup) and has the active “sweeper style” eq Controls and wires have all been labelled as they were removed so relatively easy to tell what goes where all working perfectly, just surplus to requirements trades /swaps considered, please PM me for further details free UK postage Any questions, fire away

Hey all, I’m about to embark on a bit of a project piece (with the help of our very own @Andyjr1515) and am looking for a bit of help if possible.... I’m looking at modifying and painting and old Ibanez SR300 that I have I plan on painting the headstock to match the body (already does but I’m looking at different colours) I’ve been looking all over the internet but can’t seem to find anyone that does replacement headstock badges/decals for the SDGR range, I did find one place that does water slide decals and have emailed them about doing a metallic / shiney / reflective one but 2 weeks later have had no answer back. Tried emailing Ibanez themselves but again, no reply at all! does anyone know where I can source one from or does anyone have the know how to make one up at all?! any help is massively appreciated, have attached a picture of the existing for your viewing pleasures / reference

To be honest, no. ive repainted guitar bodies in the past with “proper guitar paint” before and they’ve normally been rock hard in less than two weeks. following all the same processes this time but with the cheaper wilko paint I couldn’t understand why it’s not hardening, didn’t know if it was me or the paint :-s maybe your right, I should learn a bit more patience
-
Hey all, Trying to keep this brief, lockdown = boredom boredom = guitar build on a “what have I got laying around” budget I’ve now sprayed the body with some wilko own brand spray paint (a can and a half of light, misting coats over a period of three days) roll on four weeks later and it’s STILL not drying or going hard, finger nail marks are easy to do and it marks easily enough with the creases of my hands, if I hold any part of it I can’t work out why or how I can get around It?! im wondering if I cover it in a quick drying clear coat whilst it’s still in this state, would that work?! or would it be best to start again and choose a different colour with some proper quality paint?! any help or advice anyone can give would be great may appreciated

Up for grabs I’ve got a Lakland Skyline Series Jazz neck Originally bought from @Raslee of this parish Neck was used on my precision for some time as I prefer jazz width necks but have put the bass up for sale so have this now going spare Neck has a set of gotoh style machines and is in good working order, Frets are all good, truss rod working as it should Neck will need a new nut as the last one snapped because I’m a bit of a heavy handed goon There is a small dent in the 4th fret under the G but nothing that you can feel or that affects its use / playability there is some chipping to the wood around the truss rod nut that was present when I got it, nothing that detracts from the aesthetics or usability Trades or reasonable offers considered Price includes UK insured shipping and I will ensure it is wrapped well any questions, fire away...

PRICE DROPPED TO £575 AS HAVE LAKLAND NECK FOR SALE SEPERATELY Tentatively up for grabs I’ve got my 2008 Highway One Precision Bass itself is in fair condition for a 12 year old gigged bass, a few nicks, scrapes and paint chips here and there, nothing horrendous, all genuine road worn badges of honour Strung with (dare I say it) 7 year old labella deep talkin’ flats which sound just glorious The neck is still in as new condition and I believe, with it being the later model Highway One,has the dual reinforcement rods hiding in there somewhere Pickups have been upgraded to Seymour Duncan SPB-3’s (I think) Bass still holds the original Badass II bridge with grooved saddles This bass has been my pride and joy since I first bought it, my first proper Fender bass and I am reluctantly selling it to fund some other GAS related items Would consider trades / swaps / deals for any of the below Mexican precision bass, colour not important, if it has a jazz neck on it then bonus! the more beat up looking the better, no maple necks please Maple jazz neck or something similar that I can use on my ongoing ‘51 slab precision build Ibanez SR bass, colour not so important, must have PJ pickup configuration Would also consider reasonable offers Happy to work out a social distanced swap/exchange/meet Any questions, queries, photo requests, anything at all, fire away and I’ll do what I can to accommodate

Is 6-7 years too late to get sellers remorse?! trying to see if I can find the owner of a bass I sold a while back, see if it ended up In the hands of a basschatter with the VERY SLIM possibility, if it has, are they looking to sell it?! the bass.... 1993 Ibanez SR800le in a black-ish pearlescent type colour, was in good nick when I sold it and the original hardcase with it sadly was not in such a condition but still useable! i sold it on eBay and if I remember rightly, was sent to around the bishops stortford area i found this ominous weblink to the original eBay listing https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/mij-ibanez-sdgr-sr800le-sr800-bass-502445751 Will try and see if I still have any other pictures of it and post them here anyone recognise it? Anyone have it?! would be most excellent if it was for sale again, I’d whip it back in a second thanks in advance all
