You just have to hold your phone very still as you take the photo. Alternatively, try pressing any of: Print Screen ALT + Print Screen CTRL + Print Screen At least one of those should do it for you.

Love music? 90 minutes to spare? Got Netflix?

Thread gets above a hundred replies and I'm well off out of it. Thread with 1,371 replies? You're 'avin' a giraffe. -
Bathtubs Over Broadway Uttery, utterly wonderful, and a climax that you'll never see in any other documentary. 90 minutes you won't want to get back.

This ^ I genuinely don't understand why some vendors edit their ad after it has sold to remove the price ... why on earth would you do that? The prices achieved by previous sales on Basschat are one of the best guides in Europe to the genuine state of the pre-owned market.

Recording video - how and which programme/app to use?

I started using Reaper from a standing start in mid Movember. These two videos (both songs are originals) have been released in March, i.e. in the last two weeks: -
I was having reasonable success with a Samson C01 large diaphragm condenser before I decided to go crazy upmarket. They're normally £69 but I've just found that DV247 are selling them at £45 delivered: https://www.dv247.com/en_GB/GBP/Samson-C01-Large-Diaphragm-Condenser-Microphone-/art-REC0004572-000?campaign=GShopping/GB&ProgramUUID=5G_AqJarZwoAAAFl0FZyjI8V&gclid=Cj0KCQjwi7yCBhDJARIsAMWFScPHV1RKw6AJclMwHo4zKime7CsqEG-_iLV3ncCfC20k0mIR8pB2_p0aAsUNEALw_wcB Even at that price, the mic comes with an adaptor for any mic stand and a solid case. For me that's a no-brainer, so 🙄 I've just bought a second one to make a pair. They're also absolutely ideal for drumkit overheads ...

Contact Phil Jones direct. He's an Englishman working in the USA, a lovely guy, and very approachable.

All fair comment BUT the download route requires someone to operate a bank account with linked PayPal account. I've done this for my own stuff for many years and I don't want to try to run a parallel universe on behalf of a guy who's a great musician but utterly illiterate when it comes to IT. Seriously, he's never owned a PC and when I tried to give him one he turned it down! We've talked it through and decided to wait and see if we get people buying the CDs and then saying "But where's my download?" before we put too much effort into that side of things. This is just a 'toe in the water' to see whether there's any actual demand for CDs at our gigs. In the bottom of my wardrobe I still have a box of 50 vinyl albums (I managed to give away half a dozen to friends and family) that I played on a few years back. Incidentally, as at today 100 CDs with cardboard sleeves would cost £174 whereas 100 CDs in PVC wallets would cost £114. No brainer.

I've been talking this week to Sean at Torch (yes, he's still in business!) and only discovered this topic afterwards, courtesy of Silvia Holmes, Sherlock's prettier younger sister. http://www.torchmusic.co.uk/ He's sending us a sample (of our own CD) just now and if we're happy then we'll be placing an order.

Good small drum machine for practice
Happy Jack replied to jazzburger's topic in Accessories and Misc
Agreed, but you're talking about live situations with other musicians, whereas the OP wants something for home practice on his own. For myself, I bought the footswitch because I thought I'd be using it like you. I ran into so much resistance that I soon abandoned that idea. I use mine mainly for setting up guide tracks when recording new songs (for which purpose it's excellent) since I can't play the drums, and also for home practice. Neither of those make any real use of the footswitch. -

Deffo agree with this. Extremely easy to use, very good sample sounds, not over-laden with bells and whistles you'll never use. Speaking of that, if you go for the Beat Buddy don't buy the optional footswitch controller unless you're sure you'll need it. The basic unit is very good VFM, the footswitch rather less so! -
Leave the guy alone - he's got GAS! 😂

The most accurate answer is, it depends. Sorry. I leave the Junkyard set to 18C all year round, the constructions has a fair bit of bulk, and the space contains a large amount of bulky equipment. I think of it as a heat sink. Once the entire room and its contents are at 18C it is likely to be cheaper (and certainly quicker and easier) to keep it at that temperature than to let it cool/heat to outside temperature and then have to regain 18C when I want to use the space. It helps that it's a windowless space and the door is really very solid indeed. In truth, by far the costliest element of the whole thing was buying & installing a decent light industrial aircon unit. The purchase price for that massively outweighed the impact it has on our electricity bill! I could easily justify it though, since the Junkyard would be effectively unusable for at least three months of each year without it. Heating it only, no aircon, would be relatively WAY cheaper. Just buy an electric greenhouse heater and plug it in 24/7 during cold weather. Bin there, dun that.

Go in on the tube with your folding bass and Line 6 Helix Pod thingy. I doubt there's anything anyone can do about your emissions, though ... 😉
