  1. As the pedal sales continue, I am cutting down to one board from ... erm ... three. I'm keeping the Nano+ as my sole board, so this Nano is now surplus to requirements. Current spec is here: https://www.google.co.uk/shopping/product/6473075707105777743?lsf=seller:291943,store:17486815475102514008&prds=oid:15973746786505748574&q=pedaltrain+nano&hl=en&ei=yjkHX7eIHdeD1fAPv9G72AI&lsft=gclid:Cj0KCQjwgJv4BRCrARIsAB17JI76CkkzxyYLMFNaX81pNc1fVfasKizgP1hpWrRPrANT6sKHAr-aFXMaApekEALw_wcB These units came as bare metal with two lengths of velcro, no power suplly or cabling. As you can see, I am including a set of 9V points to run off a single Boss wall plug unit, so this is ready to attach pedals and use instantly. Only the finest velcro has been used, redolent of silk and truffles, organically reared in the cottonfields at the foot of Mount Belzoni. Equally happy with collection, meet-up (fairly close by car or on the Piccadilly Line), or postage. Unfortunately a modest, in fact almost token, amount of £5 would be needed to cover P&P.
  2. As the pedal sales continue, I am cutting down to one board from ... erm ... three. This is the only full-sized pedal board that I have used in the last 10 years - current spec is here, don't think it's changed much: https://www.gear4music.com/Guitar-and-Bass/Gator-Pedal-Tote-Bag-With-GBUS8/XWP?utm_campaign=bEngine - Gator&utm_medium=paid_search&network=google&adgroup=111511785508&matchtype=e&utm_term=gator pedal tote&device=c&creative=443570364882&adposition=&gclid=Cj0KCQjwgJv4BRCrARIsAB17JI5IDgzPmVck6r6syeR2IA7NLVo4D9n3eG5QiM8GMhWCmDFwKxS-GUsaAjLNEALw_wcB The only 'damage' is that the badge came off the front a long time ago. All the original electrics are still in place, working fine. The white strips on the bottom are there to help with cable management, allowing me to bundle up surplus cable and unused cables, keeping them out of the way of patch lead routing. I'm OK-ish with posting this in the UK but the box will end up being big enough to just start to tip over from £3 Hermes jobbie to £10 DPD charge. The board is in Harrow (NW London) and I'd prefer collection or a meet within a sensible distance, either by car or on the Piccadilly Line.
  3. If YouTube's recommendations don't float your boat, try Spotify. A great way to keep on your toes during these Lockdown / post-Lockdown / social distancing days is to set up a random playlist and see whether or not you can hack it ... can you keep up with every song that comes into your headphones, like it or not, know it or not. And every now and then you discover a great track you didn't know about.
  4. Bloody Hell! I'd completely forgotten that moniker. Thanks @Jus Lukin.
  5. No, I think the original version didn't have this. I wanted to page Max and ask him, but I can't remember his user name!
  6. Actually, they don't get much better than this. The full blurb can be found here: https://www.gak.co.uk/en/earthquaker-the-warden-v2-optical-compressor-pedal/913096?gclid=Cj0KCQjw3ZX4BRDmARIsAFYh7ZKXbNmJZPW7TE1Ztuph7rj7AhZf4NCIcgI-HTXkdBRhB3Do-jDfG4UaAiZ-EALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds That's also the cheapest place (in the UK anyway) I've found for this pedal, at £189. One thing Basschat has done for me is to make me thoroughly paranoid about compression and compressors. It is just SO obvious that well-done compression is a very good thing indeed, and so many have taken the time and trouble to try to educate me in how to get it right, that I feel really quite embarrassed at this listing. I'm giving up. I don't understand compression, I don't expect that I ever will, so this is the last compressor that I'll ever own. At least I'm going out at a high point. The pedal is in perfect working order, near enough pristine (apart from two small and very tasteful pieces of velcro applied with loving care and attention), and I'm sure that I can sort out the original box if I just try hard enough. The price includes postage to the UK. If you live elsewhere then I'm sure that we can reach an amicable settlement. If you live in Dusseldorf, Djibouti or Durango, please do NOT message me to ask if the price includes postage outside the UK. Bin there. Dun that. Spilled chili oil on the t-shirt. The answer is 'No'.
  7. Haven't seen Max in ages, and it's been even longer since i saw one of these for sale, but here it is ... the finest teeny fuzz pedal that money can buy. Although I've had it for years, I'm not really a fuzz-bass sort of player so it's actually had remarkably little use, and is in near pristine condition. The velcro is of the highest-possible quality, grown in gold-plated vats in Cambodia before being hand-processed by stunning Sri Lankan calendar girls and delivered to me by unicorn. No extra charge. Why £50? Well the last time I sold some SFX pedals (in 2014, since you ask) I had no clue what to charge for them, so I sold all three at £50 each. It doesn't take much to start a tradition around here.
  8. There's a video. Your ad-blocker (or similar) may have ... erm ... blocked it.
  9. Poplars Road in Buckingham does seem an odd place for a Nigerian Prince's palace ...
  10. Somebody wins it pretty much every time. That's because "the whole thing is legit and closely monitored by official watchdogs." As to the odds, I'll just leave this here: The chance of winning the National Lottery jackpot is 1 in 45,057,474, according to the Lotto website, while there is a 1 in 7,509,579 chance of getting five numbers plus the bonus ball. To win the Euromillions jackpot there is a one in 1 in 139,838,160 of all your numbers being drawn
  11. Just looked at the site. This is an insane idea and a guaranteed loser. At least when you buy a Lottery ticket (don't, please don't) you know how ridiculously the odds are stacked up against you, and you know the whole thing is legit and closely monitored by official watchdogs. This is a Facebook scam. You know next to nothing about the organisation behind it, or how many entries (more accurately according their homepage, "entires") there will be from how many people in how many countries. Above all, you have absolutely no idea whether or not there ever actually was a 'Draw' or whether or not it was rigged. (Hint: It was rigged.] Best of all, there's a "skill-based question". I didn't bother to look at what it might be, but I'll bet you anything that it involves a value judgement, which means that 'the answer' is whatever is most convenient to the shadows behind this scam. Walk away.
  12. Mind you, the whole 'money issues' thing always leaves me chortling. I genuinely couldn't put a number on how many listings I've seen on Basschat over the years which cited 'unexpected bills', or 'car insurance', or 'new boiler', or 'need to pay hitman' as reasons for selling a bass. Does anyone seriously give a monkey's WHY you are selling a bass? If it's a bass that I want to own and the price is right, then I'll buy it. It wouldn't even cross my mind to ask why you put it up for sale. And before anyone else points it out, yes, I've occasionally offered my reasons for a sale, but they're always bass-related reasons! Right now I'm selling a lovely vintage fretless Precision and I don't have a problem with mentioning that I've just bought an even nicer fretless bass, which is why I'm selling this one.
  13. My back. I've moved on several basses very rapidly because they were too heavy.
  14. Conceivably it's derived from the Aria Sinsonido AS-690B.
  15. <cough> Mike Lull <cough cough>
  16. That's very sweet, and I do like the neckplate! Mine was made while Jimmy was still in New York and he didn't do that in those days.
  17. Lovely, lovely bass BUT ... six knobs, two switches, no explanation. What do they all do?
  18. Good grief, @Billy Apple, did you have advance knowledge of Covid-19? I think we should be told ...
  19. Real wear = absolutely fine. Fake wear done well = pretty much pointless, but can work under some circumstances. Fake wear badly done (i.e. what we're normally offered) = utterly pointless and frankly a bit embarrassing all round. Spending five minutes with an orbital sander does absolutely nothing to improve any instrument, and will only fool a passing 9-year-old.
