  1. I've also been asked about well the Compact and Midget actually go together. The answer is that they not only are designed to work together sonically, but also visually:

  3. I've been asked for the measurements. H = 25.25" } } These two measurements were affected by removal of the feet. Originally, both were about 1/4" greater. W = 19" } D = 13.5"
  4. Those measurements are bang on the money. Yes, it really is that small. Yes, it really goes that loud.
  5. Bizarrely, I have never actually used either of my two FBD units when playing DB, perhaps because I don't tend to play DB in very loud situations. My experience with f-hole blockers hasn't been great, TBH.
  6. Only just got to a PC mate, I'll measure first thing tomorrow and get back to you.
  7. Just our of idle curiosity, why are the two halves of the body completely different colours?
  8. Reckon you can cross Hofner off your list then ...
  9. Do you do the little dance in verse #2?
  10. Report him to eBay. He's got a great user name hasn't he?
  11. OK, I realise it ain't glam, but is there any way you could work this into the set? https://youtu.be/mQEPYfXWWnI
  12. Doesn't photograph well when broken down for storage, but it's a bit like this: https://www.scan.co.uk/products/stagg-19-13uplus7u-multi-rack-stand-on-wheels?gclid=Cj0KCQjwkKPVBRDtARIsAA2CG6E9q_l8dU60lWtITcam2-KhL14J98iDbsI4ES6HOa-_F8OSm_H7q1QaAolkEALw_wcB&v=c Only nicer. All works as it should, hasn't been used since two studios ago, gathering dust for nearly five years. Free to a good home, for collection from HA1 3RG.
  13. By the time I bought my daughter her first bass, she was 14 and size wasn't an issue. Application was, though. She played it like crazy for a month, then put it down and never touched it again. Four months later I raided her bedroom, took the bass + practice amp + Crash Course For Bass (Stuart Clayton), and started playing. Haven't looked back since. You see ... children do have their uses.
  14. I'll have my Zeller DB, Takamine TB10, and the Howlett Custom bass uke that Owen brought along last time. Rig-wise, I'll bring a Trace Elf through a Crazy 8, plus a GB Shuttle through a Crazy 88 - so far as I know, the only Crazy 88 in the UK.
  15. Damn! I've just persuaded my band to tackle Ballroom Blitz ... partly because I've never heard another band play it in a pub.
  16. And a lot of that confidence will come from actually hearing what you're singing. Monitoring is essential. I'm a big fan of https://www.soundonsound.com/reviews/wharfedale-wpm1 and similar units.
  17. What I know, Frank, is that Pi is not a variable.
