1. Just so long as you can make it sound like a Precision ...
 2. Good thing his music stand is out of shot ...
 3.
It is very well done - the back in particular...
Which is a bit of a shame, given how completely pointless that is.
 4.
Why loathe, if done well?
When done well, it's almost as good as a very limited drummer. I already know plenty of those.
 5. Loathe it. If it's now dying out, I'll not be shedding any tears.
 6.
Get a wig to wear when you're with the GF...
Bin there, dun that.
 7. As Fender themselves put it: Few rock bassists are as closely identified with fretless bass as Tony Franklin Who would actually buy a Tony Franklin fretted bass?
 8.
I'd much rather enquire as to whether Serek Basses would make a 5 string version of their Sacramento bass: https://www.serekbasses.com/sacramento
Quite possibly the worst-played and most ill-chosen sound clips I've ever encountered. I wouldn't buy a second-hand Westfield based on those clips.
 9. Y'know, I almost prefer the days when Eden manuals used to talk about the "magic smoke". It was easier to understand, and more consistent.
 10.
Someone who says they've got to check with their Mrs first, [s]should have checked with their Mrs first before calling you[/s]. is looking for a cheap excuse to back out of the deal.
Fixed.
 11. Damn! If that had more cutouts I'd be all over it. Too bland for my tastes ...
 12.
Not without wasting power.
Luckily enough, modern bass amplification is simply awash with surplus power.
 13.
Hmm, sounds like an expensive accidental knock of a switch waiting to happen...hopefully that has been thought through!
No, to reach the switch first you have to pull off the handle.
 14. Have you considered organising a BassBash Bake-Off? I'm up for this event anyway, but if I were havering then the presence of enormous amounts of sweetened wheat would probably swing it ...
 15.
Have I missed something? There seems to be no indication from the prospective purchaser that he is intending to buy it. He has asked for the location, has asked for the best price, and has said he will need to check before he commits to buying it. Your friend has volunteered a lot of useful information that was not requested, in order it would seem to try and progress a sale. If he has someone else interested and they make a firm offer, it's sold to them. The first one, to me, seems like simply a casual enquiry. First come, with a firm offer and commitment to purchase, is first served.
Exactly this. No offer to buy was ever made - your friend had only a potential buyer who asked a couple of questions. If I asked for the exact weight of the bass you were selling, I wouldn't consider you to be under an obligation to keep the bass for me.
 16. I'm a hip, cool-looking young guy who plays music in London: https://soundcloud.com/jack-nicole-music Actually, that's not a bad match ... except for the "young" bit of course. I tried contacting him through Soundcloud years ago. He never replied. Definitely not my sort of music, mind.
 17. What is this thing called, love?

18. There are a few 'home conversions' into fivers out there, too. Can't comment on quality or playability though.
 19. As would pics you can actually see. If legit, it looks like a hippy refin. Luckily enough, I don't get on with Jazz basses and I bloody hate hippy refins.
 20. Not much point in being a Member of an exclusive club like Basschat if you're going to let just anyone come. Hang on. What's that you say Sooty? Really? Since when? Oh well, I'm sure it'll be fine.
