1. Not sure that "midrange growl" is entirely compatible with short scale, but you never know. If you can find one, an 80s or 90s SGC Nanyo Bass Collection, ideally an SB320, would be a good choice and still just about within your budget. It's not like there's any shortage of very nice basses at that price, especially if you include pre-owned, but the SB320 would be my pick.

4. I'd rather buy a pile of bricks. Oh no ... wait ...
5. That was just gorgeous - what an extraordinarily talented lady (& band). Do me a favour will ye? When she announces her 2017 tour dates, give us a heads-up?
6. Getting in touch with your inner vocalist?
7.
a video you have to see ..... this is are sardinian bagpipes, very popular in sardinia , this guy is a master ...... The second minute is a bit ... erm ... what happens next? Then it really, really starts to grate! I'm genuinely delighted that maestros like him exist, but you couldn't pay me enough to attend a recital.
8. What's he going to use it for? In terms of bangs per buck (i.e. quality & output -v- lightness & size) the easy winner IMHO is the Barefaced OneTen. Ludicrously good for something that small.
9. No no no ... it's Woody and Buzz. Have you never seen Toy Story?
10.
I see a Mammoth case for £2,700.0 or thereabouts online ...
I really, really hope that's a typo.
11. I'm confused. Do you mean cab, or do you mean combo? Hard to see how anyone can recommend a cab if they don't know what amp you are using.
12. You can't play 30+ year old songs through a modern PA though. It'll sound really scratchy ...
13. Did Carol Kaye use one of these when she played on all The Beatles' greatest hits?
14. Wow! And people say that old-fashioned courtesy is dead. Mind you, they also say that all Canadians are really nice people, so what do they know? Just what Basschat needed just now, a gold-plated Troll on the run from the Mounties.
15. We once played to an empty pub. I mean empty. Even the bar staff had gone outside for smoke. No fun at the time, but we've spent years telling people about it ...

17.
It frustrates me when people advertise guitars for sale on internet for something they are not.
Well in truth, on the Internet it's usually Squire anyway ...
How about this ad, then: http://www.joinmyban...er-t924396.html
I love any musician who looks for a base player. As a demo of his knowledge, commitment and [s]literassy[/s] [s]litarras[/s] [s]lisitta[/s] spelling, it tells you everything you need to know.
