1. We already know what Barrie looks like ...
2. I suppose "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" is right out of the question?
3. "This bridge feels incredibly solid" Gosh, I wonder why?
4. Nice site, guys. http://www.locknloadrockcovers.co.uk/index.html Good luck.
5. allegedly http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-32881351
6. Well technically, I suppose, it is a box ... You wouldn't want to know what the postage would be.
7. Yes, but sadly this option is no longer available since the set is about to be broken up. I appreciate that this means that you have missed a bargain ...
8. The following pedals are all either mint or pretty close to mint (but most have velcro), they're all boxed, and they're all listed here at HALF NEW PRICE as far as I can make out ... in other words these are priced to sell. Prices do not include P&P. These can be collected from Acton, London W3 or from the West End, London WC1 or I can post them for an extra £5 each. Hartke VXL Bass Attack - £75 Radial Hollywood Bones Distortion - £75 Digitech CF-7 Chorus Factory - £50 Alternatively, I will sell the complete set for £10,000 (plus £5 for P&P).
9. It's been about a bit, it's rather ratty & tatty, but it still sounds bloody good! The coloured caps for the Input & Output knobs are missing, but they've still done better than the Compression knob where the knob itself is missing. The cooling fan is noisy and should really be replaced (it's a standard PC-type fan that you get from Maplins IIRC) but it works fine, and usually stops whining after a few minutes. Apart from that, everything seems to work fine and I've been using it as my rehearsal amp for a while so my bands would probably have said something by now ... Collection only from Acton, London W3.
10. They don't make this model any more but there are plenty of reviews on t'Web if you go looking. They were marketed as a "Producer in a Box" and this is an excellent pedal for live use with your vocals. Can be collected from Acton, London W3 or from the West End, London WC1 or I can post for another £5.
11. Just before "Class D amplifiers" became a popular phrase, there was a Chinese company making budget PA kit named "Class D". Oh dear. I have no idea what that product line is called now, but here are the 1x10 PA tops (with horns) that I bought at the time as part of my first PA rig. Impact-moulded plastic, lightweight, useable both as PA tops and as floor wedges for vocal monitoring. Collection only from Acton, London W3.
12. I don't play enough fretless to justify having four of them! This bass was previously owned by Walbassist and Clarky, which should give you some idea of its quality. Here's Gareth's original sales thread: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/191980-fsft-fender-197071-precision-bass-fretless-l2k/page__p__1898441__hl__fender%20precision%20fretless__fromsearch__1#entry1898441 It's a delightful bass to play, warm & woody tone, no issues whatsoever. Available to try out (or collect) at Acton, London W3. I've sent vintage basses by courier in the past, but it's not something I like doing. Not looking for trades, just a cash sale. Open to sensible offers, though.
13. Wahey!!! Nine months on, and it looks like I'm moving house. Time to bump some old For Sale threads. This bass is now available for £750 collected.
14. As-new Sansamp bass pre-amp with footswitch. This has been racked since the day I bought it new, and I still have all the original packaging & manual. Perfect condition, but now being pushed out of the way by a Demeter unit. I can put up photos but there's not much point ... it looks just as it does in the catalogues. Collection preferred from Acton, London W3, but this is certainly postable if you want.
15. Useful thing to have around: 340w per channel at 8 ohms 550w per channel at 4 ohms 1100w mono bridged at 8 ohms Weight approx. 10kg. One of the few 1U power amps not to cost a fortune (see Powersoft Digam!), this was marketed as a PA amp but a Class D power amp is a Class D power amp and this works perfectly well with bass. Stealth was selling one of these last year. As I commented at the time: If you're a bass player in a band who also looks after the band's PA (not an unknown situation!) then these amps are a Godsend. Stick it in a rack-case (£20) with a cheap Behringer Sansamp-clone (£20) and a cheap Behringer 4-channel mixer (£20), and dump it in the boot of your car. If your bass rig blows up, you've got a spare. If your band PA blows up, you've got a spare. All for less than £200. This really is collection only. There's no box or packaging, and it would be a pig to post. I'm in Acton, London W3.
16. Forgot I still had this! Radical price drop to £120 ... it may as well get used.
