Just looked at the set list. I know roughly a quarter of those songs. No no no, I don't mean I can play roughly a quarter, I mean I would recognise roughly a quarter. Great website BTW.

Money is the necessary counter-weight to talent. The more talented a player is, the less money he spends on equipment (see McCartney, Jamerson, Pastorius, etc.). The less talented a player is, the more money he spends on equipment (have you seen my gear?).

[/quote] If you're using a decent mic (in my case either a decent Sennheiser or an SM57) then the foldback is coming from the mic's blind spot and there isn't a problem. You do need to be careful with your mic technique though - if you put you face where it 'reflects' the foldback into the mic then yes, you can get a brief spike of feedback. The EQ control on the WPM-1 (and I guess on the others) is basically a tone knob, but is surprisingly effective at removing those spikes.

I've been using my Matamp for about a year now, running through a Barefaced 69er usually. The volume control has never once got past 12 o'clock. For many of the pub gigs I play, I still use an OTB500 into a Barefaced Compact or Midget. That never gets past 12 o'clock either!

Great to see you still hang out on Basschat, Ross, and some very tight playing there. Back over in NYC in three weeks ... might well drop you an email and see if anything's happening on a 'free evening'.

[/quote] Google it ... there are some very good YouTube demonstrations of how to do it properly. Note that you need a 31-band EQ to do it in a meaningful way. For a pub band, that's probably overkill.
