1.
I am looking for a bass to keep in the car so I can practice when I get the chance and thought this could be ok.
Given that you're not even allowed to use your mobile while driving ...
 2. Outstanding! Have a blast guys ...
 3. Anyway, I bloody hate Jaco's style of bass playing. I actually bought a double album Best Of because so many people raved at me about how wonderful he was and how clever he was. I don't doubt they're right, but I've only ever played the album twice in ten years. Ultimately, all that really matters is: Do you actually like this music?
 4. The bent bit at the end was for extracting Boy Scouts from horses' hooves IIRC. Or something.

 6. Is he playing the inflatable beer can?
 7.
Good grief..!! What's going on here then? 8. I have a very rare vintage trolley with uprated wheels and neodymium axles. It has a fair amount of playwear, but since it's a sought-after transitional model I could never get it re-fin'd.
 9.
So I am sitting here reading through some of the posts on here and there always seem to be somebody complaining about something or another when there is a debate going on throwing there toys out of the pram if some one else says something that they don't agree with it is not just on basschat that this happens it is on other sites too I must admit I sit here and laugh to myself at the thought of some one getting all steamed up banging away on there keyboards in anger or complaining to mods about people like little school children when there really is nothing to complain about. So why take it so seriously it is only the internet I can understand getting upset if somebody is personally attacking you but 9 times out of 10 people just have no sense of humour and take it all to seriously.
I am absolutely appalled at this, and I feel you should take this back immediately. It is utterly astonishing that, in this day and age, it is possible for someone to write a sentence like that, and without apparently feeling any need for punctuation. Will no one think of the children? Even the Nazis could write better than that.

 11.
Have you thought about inviting the guys from MythBusters?
Well THE-E-E-ERE'S your PROB-lem!
 12.
I have been out today (don't do that often) and stocked up on quality tea bags and milk for tomorrow!
If he asks for milk in his Earl Grey, then he's probably not quite right ...
 13. In the interests of verisimilitude, you should of course insist that they each set up by the door to the gents toilet ...
 14. I seem to recall that the vendor (Tune-o-Matic) has some history ...
 15. Also check out the SGC Nanyo Bass Collection, especially (if you can find one) an SB320 with P/J configuration. Helluva lot of bass for the money (prob. £200 -£250), very light, well-balanced.
 16.
I`d spend at least 30mins of the time allocated chatting to them. As well as how they play, you need to get on with them. Agreed a 30min chat won`t make the decision of best buddies, but you can usually get an inkling of their character. Ask about transport, work, family, other musical commitments, gear, willingness to travel etc.
This is spot on. It will take you just five minutes to establish whether or not they can play guitar, but five months to learn whether or not you actually like being in a band with them.
 17.
is anybody can give me an email address of Brian Short please
You could just phone him and ask for it?
 18. Keith doesn't always play the two-sticks: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bFG8WWD1AtA
 19. Glad to see that someone has finally mentioned strings! Maple -v- Rosewood is nowhere near as important (IMHO) as flats -v- rounds when it comes to a Precision.

 21. Those Grendels were a serious amount of bass for the money, lovely instruments. I just can't get on with Jazz basses, but if there had ever been a Grendel P-bass ...
 22.
.. I'm over 4 hrs from Galway ...
Why am I thinking about Gene Pitney now?
 23.
ysee now its in black and white Im thinking I should really make the effort.
http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc208/DMurder138/bass-1.jpg
