Anyway, I bloody hate Jaco's style of bass playing. I actually bought a double album Best Of because so many people raved at me about how wonderful he was and how clever he was. I don't doubt they're right, but I've only ever played the album twice in ten years. Ultimately, all that really matters is: Do you actually like this music?

I have a very rare vintage trolley with uprated wheels and neodymium axles. It has a fair amount of playwear, but since it's a sought-after transitional model I could never get it re-fin'd.

It is utterly astonishing that, in this day and age, it is possible for someone to write a sentence like that, and without apparently feeling any need for punctuation. Also check out the SGC Nanyo Bass Collection, especially (if you can find one) an SB320 with P/J configuration. Helluva lot of bass for the money (prob. £200 -£250), very light, well-balanced.

Glad to see that someone has finally mentioned strings! Maple -v- Rosewood is nowhere near as important (IMHO) as flats -v- rounds when it comes to a Precision.
