  1. This is pretty much how I feel about it. However.... ...if there were to be more dates to follow, I'm not sure I'd be able to resist.
  2. "Ever get the feeling you've been cheated?" C'mon, get it right, us Pistols anoraks will notice 😁
  3. What will Mr Lydon's take on this be? https://www.vulture.com/article/sex-pistols-reunite-without-johnny-rotten.html
  4. I won't listen until I've posted mine but it's good to have you back, Douglas
  5. No, not really. The man's a menace.
  6. What is it with Jagger and Tescos? The man's obsessed. Wrote both Have You Seen Your Mother, Baby, Shopping Late at Tescos and You Can't Always Get What You Want (From the Deli Counter) about the place. The world moves on with Putin, Trump, Gaza, Houthis, Boko Haram. Think I'll chill out and stick Brown Sugar on.
  7. I'm late, I'm late, for a very important date... Flying craft and missiles are the order of the day for mankind yet again as we find ourselves fighting on the edges of space and time. When will we ever learn? Hopefully, I've tapped into a vague Hawkwind vibe both lyrically and musically which, in my book, can only be a good thing. Lyrics hidden below. Westfield Les Paul copy, Westfield P-Bass copy (I like Westfields 😁, Vivlex delay pedal, MT Drums, Apogee+ mic. Most of it through a Roland Cube and recorded in time-honoured fashion with Wavepad, Audacity and Ableton.
  8. Anarchy for the UK It's coming sometime (although it was prevalent during the first civil war in post-Conquest England throughout the reign of King Stephen between 1135 and 1154) maybe...
  9. Not a great pic but it's from last Friday's gig in Northampton.
  10. Buy a bouzouki, a mandolin and a balalaika. Branch out as you get toward the magic figure!
  11. The fella is very talented and creative, seems to be enjoying what he is doing and is making a fair few quid along the way. Wish I could waste my (admittedly very limited) talent and time like that!
  12. These two brothers from Egypt are fantastic musicians. Mohamad and Abdallah Abozekry. Mohamad is the oud dude and Abdallah plays the bağlama.
  13. Why do I always leave it so late? Saunter through Cézanne's Avenue at Chantilly to a twinkling soundtrack of swirly, insistent guitar chords, subtle keys and unobtrusive beats. Played on a cigar box guitar (open G tuning) with a dash of flanger, a Strat copy using Nashville tuning with a touch of echo and a violin bass. Ableton provided MT Drums and all the virtual keys. Recorded, as ever, with Wavepad and Audacity.
  14. You wouldn't go far wrong with a few Ramones tunes.
  15. And now for wait for Lurks to come up with a fiendish plan to see who chooses this month's photo... how about postal chess?
  16. In like Flynn (with a limp). The old gang reconvene at the pub one more time to enjoy a few drinks in the sun and reminisce about the days when they had everything going for them and all the time in the world to loon around. Lo-tech talk: Unbranded Strat, Daphon Wah Wah pedal, Vivlex Delay pedal, Westfield bass, Roland Cube amp, Apogee Mic+ and MT drums. Recorded with Wavepad, Audacity and Ableton. Fancy some lyrics to go with this Fisher-Price Fun Lovin' Criminals funk? Here they are. Won't mean owt to you lot but all the names included in the song are various drinking acquaintances of mine through the 80s, 90s and 00s, although I'm not sure they were all ever in the same pub at the same time!
  17. Jingles? Not sure about that, but it'd be nice if a few more had a go at the monthly composition challenge to get the artistic juices flowing 🎶
  18. You know how earworms stick around in your head for ages and ages after hearing them? Well, that didn't
