  1. Given that the OP last visited November 22, 2023... Nice resurrected Tread, though.
  2. Out of curiosity, what is the width at nut, please ?
  3. OW, shit. Graphite neck, Bartolinis... What the width at nut and string spacing, please ?
  4. It's next week. Bass duties will be shared by Bubby Lewis. Coupled with Dennis Chambers it promises a lot of fun. 🙂
  5. Wow. Impressed from beginning to end. A question though, why would you want to glue the parts ? I would have thought that the design with the 3D printer would also give the possibility to change some parts and give it another look ?
  6. The absolute WORST way of doing this is to get a body painted white and stick some Electrician Blac Tape cutted in squares. Don't laugh, I bought a P-BAss that had a Pickguard made this way. Although, come to think of it that's how Eddie VanHalen decored his geetars. Otherwise, you'll need to have a good base coat, then a white paint. and afterwards, you'll have to use a *lot* of masking tape, spray black, waith for it to dry, then use a lot of masking tape for the second part and paint black. As showed on the video above, y'oull also need to cover the sides as it'll be difficult to align everything properly. So you're talking about a rather long process. You might find some 3M covering that might do the job, although not too easy to apply on the curved parts.
  7. Wow. Nice Dolphin, and Nice BassLab too 🙂 What year is this one ? Looks a bit too red for a Ovangkol, did you have the luck to score a Boiré one ? (although if it's lightweight it might not be). It seems weird to have a Tedur nut, too. How is the neck ?
  8. Maybe your singer lead guitarist will be happy to add another arrow in his quiver with your band. You might continue a bit even if it's on the side for him, as you already know each other and your set. Don't give up anyway. It's always depressing when a band ends, and there's always a new one coming up. Competent, hard-working bassists are kinda hard to find, so you still have a good chance 🙂
  9. PIcked one up - very late to the party, I know. It's a real nice piece of kit, the A channel is really blooming the sound up, the passive Bass/Treble controls are quite efficient and not everbearing when everything is on 10. Spend a good hour trying to dial a nice tone with the B channel and the Hot Cold Fusion, but none were satisfying sadly. Being incredibly Anal with the Dirt sound, it's no surprise. It's a shame though 'cuz I really wanted this one to work and be able to just bring this to gigs and voilà. Definetely worth the price seeing the quality and possibilities, definetely not worth it for me to only use one channel.
  10. I'd say the Mooer Prime P1 ticks all your boxes. Or the P2 if you have the extra quids to update.
  11. Just what I was looking for and couldn't find so I bought Chinese Sadowsky. Sorry I lacked of patience. (and also I kinda like the Sadowsky, but I do have a sweet spot for Sandbergs, and this one in this color combo is jst sooooo sexy).
  12. Well. I came to the band with the intention to play Woman From Tokyo, but it was the TM Stevens Version. It's actually Marylin Manson's version that is the Go To nowadays. 🙂
  13. I bought one of the last Gen1 (green 5er maple fretboard). As @martthebass said, very few thing to sort out, a setup and a bit of filing on some frets. For half the price of a V2, i can live without the roasted neck (maybe I'll change the decal tho, being shallow and all...).
  14. Yup. Korean made brand. ::: MD Guitar ::: (mdcustomshop.com) https://mdcustomshop.com/img/p_img/31_0.jpg
  15. I was there last end of August, no worries nor problems were had. I honestly diud not realize until my Brother told me I was crazy 🙂
  16. Exactly what I'm looking for, more pics are welcome. It has the muting bridge ? Thanks.
  17. Yes, Craig, sorry for the misshap. Here's a short clip of Craig, ALex and me playing Crazy Train. The singer is the organizer of the Bass Oasis. We had some serious fun.
  18. I registered for this year's edition again, and I can't recommend enough the trip if you can. Last year with Craig Blundell and Alex Skolnick and Mohini Dey was exceptionnal. This year, drums duty will be in the hands of Dennis Chambers, so it's a great opportunity to improve your groove.
  19. I suppose that with Christmas coming, there will be people travelling to France to get some wine ? That would be able to get a bass to me ? No ?
