  1. Very interested as those are the perfect companion to my Line6 POD XT BASS Live, with built in emulations that are fully compatible with the Variax basses. Not that the price is too high, but short on cash for the moment, unless a trade is possible ? Regardnig the Red/Green : from the User Manual : RED/GREEN SELECT But even a control as simple a volume offers you more on the Variax Bass. If you press the Volume knob down, you'll notice the light near the MODEL SELECT knob changes color. When the Indicator is green, the first, or “green,” variation of that MODEL SELECT position is active. When it’s red, you’ve got a second, “red” variation of the Model instead And, i think the full list of basses is : Variax Bass 700 Models based on*: 1961 Fender® Jazz Bass® 1960 Fender® Jazz Bass® with flatwound strings 2004 Fender® Deluxe Jazz Bass® Fretless 1961 Fender® Jazz Bass® 1963 Fender® Precision Bass® 1958 Fender® Precision Bass® with flatwound strings 1977 Music Man® Sting Ray® 2003 Modulus® Flea Bass 1971 Rickenbacker® 4001 1963 Rickenbacker® 4001 with flatwound strings 1966 Danelectro® Longhorn Bass 1963 Höfner® Model 500/1 with flatwound strings 1963 Gibson® Thunderbird 4 1966 Gibson® EB-2D with flatwound strings 2002 MTD® 535 35-inch scale 2003 Warwick® Thumb 1978 Alembic Long Scale 1984 Steinberger® XL2 1968 Hagström® H8 1994 Hamer® B12A 2003 Tacoma® Thunderchief 1949 Kay® M-1 Inspired by classic Moog MiniMoog bass sounds Inspired by modern bass synth sounds
  2. Could you share trhe nut width and string spacing, please ? Thanks.
  3. I have one. Could use a spare, though. Lemme check my bank account when it's not the end of the month :-)
  4. Thanks for the backstory, it's cool to know a bass has been gigged, sign of good sound :-) Dat No Trade is killing me. That's what happens when you're Rich on gear, poor in Cash :-)
  5. Could you share the string spacing at the bridge and nut width, please ? Thanks.
  6. Hello ! Would you be able to ship it to the distant and exotic country of France ?
  7. Wow. What is the string spacing on the bridge ? Trade-wise, you are you open to 4-stringers ?
  8. Marek has received the woods to make my bass. His work is nothing short of stellar. 3.9kg for a 5er with Oak and Mahogany... Impressive.
  9. The harsh reality hits me when after lusting for one of those, I read No Trades. Low on Cash, High on Gear :-)
  10. I can only recommend to buy it, because : - It's a great bass, and even if it's true, I won't say "for the money" because it's a great bass, period. - Do you really think you're going to get noticed by that very cute girl in the low class joint where people like us play with a very nice '68 P-Bass ? - Even if you don't like the guy, Adam Clayton has a certain sense of bass and this one is no exception. I played the "Real German Custom Shop Version" (pencil neck... 36mm...) and this one sounds remarkably the same given the factor 10 of difference in price. but, mainly, I recommend to buy it because I bought a nice Vintage Icon Fretless and I'm pennyless and it hurts me to see this bass for sale as I can't get it, now.

    Kevsy71

Just bought a Vintage Icon VJ74 fretless from Kevsy71. SHipped in a real padded box, with a real affordable shipping cost, received the bass exactly as described. A quick deal concluded in 4 messages, very happy with the bass. Thanks.
  12. Really no shipping to the distant and Exotic France ?
