1.
Hello fellow Doorsetter.
...aint that Doorsitter? And Mickey, pray tell - what pills be they?
2.
Bulbous
Bulbous? Guys, guys, guys... It's the foreshortening of the photograph that makes it look that way... The 4-94 has the same body size/shape as the 44 Series. I think it looks luverly - now, rip that rosewood board off and get a bird's eye maple replacement and it'll be scrumptious. (I may be a tad bias)
3. Met Si today as he picked up my/his Lakland 44-02D. Great chap. Can't think of a nicer bloke to let a beloved bass go to. Enjoy, Si! cheers Shaun
4. Mmmmmmmmmmmm! truly PORN! ...and glad you're not going to cover up that lovely 44-02 - we should start a Lakland fanciers club (Lakland Lovers sounds just too porn-related) ;-) cheers Shaun
5. one last bumperooney - offers?
6. Price reduced! Price reduced! Price reduced! Price reduced! ooh er!
7. ...it is lovely... now just imagine it in tobacco sunburst with a bird's eye maple neck... um... er... hang on... :-) Gotta go to a new home! Great savings on a 4-94!
8. Sorry Si, one of the Lakkies has to go - and I'm quite glad it's not the BG... so, no trades ta. Giss a shout when you sell the Deluxe...
9. weekend bumperooney
10. Well, quite a few BC deals later, I agree it helps to have feedback amongst fellow over-enthusiasts. Do you worst! :-) Shaun
11. Didn't reach reserve on the bay, so offers around £700 - go on, ya know ya wanna... I can't believe I'm selling this as it's one of the best basses I've played. In the best colour combination IMO. But with arrival of Mark's 4-94, it has to leave the stable. Skyline series, cherry sunburst, active (with pull passive - but why would you?), maple neck and fret board, J/MM Barts, Lakland pre-amp and the sweetest neck you'll find. It has a new set of Lakland Custom Wound Nickels on it. You can read all about it at http://www.lakland.com/basses/44-02.htm Primo condition with one small blemish on top of the neck at the nut - not a ding or dent, just a small mark that looks like a light stain, hardly noticeable, but thought I'd mention it - the rest is proper nice. Comes with a hard case and I can send it from my local shop for £35 (insured) or anyway you'd prefer.
12. Just bought his Lakland 4-94 - top bloke! Exactly as advertised and held my hand through the entire deal. ;-) Highly recommended chap.
13. new week bump...
14. listen very carefully... I can hear the legend that is Bob Glaub calling your name... the bass is calling you...
15. *Bump* *ouch* (what? ...no offers?) :-)
16. a bumpety-bumperooney!
17. LOL - cheers Mark - that would help pay for the US 4-94 I seem to have acquired!
18. ...you mean you don't have carpet in the garden? We're thinking of replacing it with laminate... ^_^ MB1 - always the eagle eye...
19. ...never having the opportunity to play a US Lakland, I canny tell you... this from Lakland: "Most Skylines arrive at the Lakland factory fully finished, except for electronics. Lakland luthiers inspect each bass and do refinements according to an incredibly thorough set-up procedure that ensures each bass has proper string alignment, neck relief, fretting, tuner installation integrity, etc. The Skylines are then installed with the same electronics as the US models (except for the 01 models which are shipped with Korean electronics.) No Skyline bass leaves the Lakland facility until it’s properly set up and in prime playing condition..." I've had nothing but great service from Lakland over the last couple of years and received emails directly from Dan Lakin regarding my 44-02D - nowt better than the horses mouth. Versus Fender I'm biased, as I love the Lakland neck radius over Fender's - and a good bang for the buck IMO.
20. I'm not playing this as much as I hoped and there's an opportunity for a US Lakkie on the horizon, so anybody in the marketplace for a very little used, perfect nick Black Bob Glaub (original "aged" white pickguard included) with a Gator hard case for £600? I'm down in Poole (or up in Poole - whichever way you're standing) for collection/meet or can send via my local shop for £35 next day insured.
21. you have a PM...
22. Hi Mark! Welcome... *waving across the Solent - and the New Forest - and Bournemouth* - from sunny Poole! Good to see some more southerners around abouts. hmmmm.... central southern get together...? cheers Shaun

GT6B...

OK - time for me to help out! This requires reading Chapter 9 from the end rather than the beginning... (seriously!) If you have the same manual as me you need to read page 61, Setting the Timing Used for Switching Patches (Patch Change Mode) - this will tell you how to change the Parameter from "SYS:Patch Select" (rather than "Patch Change" they have in the damn book): "UP/DOWN" to "BANK/NUMBER" (roatry dial) - this'll allow you to select Banks and numbers rather than Patches... The actual method is in the previous section "Switching the Bank and Number" - but doesn't tell ya how to do it!!! *phew* ...and now to SOS...
