Peavey Mk 6 Head & Peavey 810 Cab Trace Elliot 410 combo & 115 SWR SM900 Goll III Son of Bertha Eden WT800 2 x 410XLT EBS TD650 2 x 212 neo Ashdown 2xABM500 2xMini 4x8 & 2x mini 115 Ashdown ABM900 ABM410 ABM115 Ampeg SVT Classic 810 Classic Aguilar DB680 & DB728 with 2x GS410's Eden Metro Combo & 115XLT Mark Bass SA450 410 & 115 Gallien Krueger RB700 mkII 210 combo with RBH210 Phil Jones Suitcase & 4x8 cab Agular DB750 & DB410 (current Rig) Best Looking Amp - Ampeg SVT set up (Rock & Roll) Loudest Amp - Aguilar DB680 DB728 (400w all valve - would knock a house down) Best Live Sound - GK Rig - Sound guy loved it, cut through anything Best Studio Sound - Phil Jones - Pure sweet HiFi sound Most Commented Upon (positive) Live Sound from Punters - TD650 - Clean Bass delivered with impact Most Frustrating Set Up to get a sound out of - Mark Bass - Never got it working well but easy to move !! 5.
Personally, I can't equate how an amp/cab sounds in a shop to how it sounds at a gig. They're totally different environments.
Never, Ever a truer sentiment expressed within this forum...... god knows how much cash the lack of this understanding has cost me over the years...... I shudder to think !!
 6.
I tried the Suitcase and I didn't think it was very good..... then I added the 4x5 extension speaker and wow, what a difference. As an 8x5 set up it sounded great with a very good bass response.
I owned the Suitcase with extension cab for a while...... In the house sounded great, Bass extension was truely unbelievable..... took it to a rehearsal and that was it..... totally vanished behind the drummer i'm afraid HiFi ? Yes, would make a great studio set up ! Genuinely Gigable ? - No I don't think so (IMHO) The bigger stuff may be a different bag Mark
 7. Just to throw the Mesa Scout into the mix
 8. Pretty sure Lemon Oil is only recommended for Rosewood / Ebony boards....... I'm going to get my Ray Lacquered I think....
 9. 2 words....... ! Lane Poor looks bloody familiar..... why the heck didn't you buy mine !!
 10. It's a real shame this Bass has changed hands a few times recently...... I feel kinda guilty as I sort of started it being passed around. I took it in PX for my Flea Bass..... and was really happy to do so ! I moved it on to part fund a DB750..... would have been really happy to keep it. While the Villex mods are taking a headline, don't forget the bass has a fantastic P profile Neck (Beedster would love it) If I had a spare £500 i'd buy it back...... guys bag a bargain !!
 11. Just been putting the building blocks together for "Around the World" (RHCP)
 12. I've played this (badly) and it's one hell of a sweet sounding and playing Fretless Neck is to die for !!
 13.
WizardWizardWizardWizardWizard
Wizards are certainly gaining a good reputation...... For a more modern take on the Jazz Bass sound try some Sadowky Single Coils - I had them installed in a pretty ordinary bass and they transformed it ! Can't go wrong with the Wizards though !!
 14.
The only bloke I know who can have bought and gotten a cab home before the shop even has the stock on the floor I was in GG tuther day and they were still discussing where to put the Aggie stock! Go on you may as well get back in there and get the 2x10 to save them the trouble of shufftying the gear about and putting it on display
The DB210 they have in is an 8 ohm, me being fussy I didn't want to mix impedence or i'd have it home by now !! LOL Nice Nice tone......!! Had Funky Hobbit and Kev Bucket over yesterday with thir toys (Cutlass, Fender Jazz, Spector NS2) all sounded great into the Big Aggie !!
 15.
What colour?
Classic Black / Silver - Very tastefull !
 16.
Think that's as good a stock list as you'd find anywhere in the country P
Last time I was in Electro Music in Doncaster they pretty much had one of each of the skylines 4s & 5s too !

 21.
The Geddy Lee is very good, but I'd instead go for one of the last S1 Jazz basses from Sound Control. They're a lot better - I've owned both!
+ 1 for the S1
 22.
Lovely looking bass!
Not many of these about....... I'd bet 50P that you got this from Guitar Guitar in Newcastle...... If so I tried this bass out and it's a cracker !!
