Hi Guys, I'm offering up for grabs a cracking Lakland Bob Glaub with a couple of hundred quids worth of Villux Mods..... Pickup, 4 position mid switch and tone boost, really adds another dimension to the Precision sound while retaining the classic passive P bass tone as well. Mods have been done profesionally and to a high standard The neck on this Bass is exceptional, feels every bit as good as the USA 4-94 I had, Really one of the nicest feeling and playing instruments i've had the pleasure of..... Condition wise it'as a good 9.5 / 10 It's currently set up with Flatwounds and really delivers that "old school P bass thump" action is low and playability 10 / 10 Only reason for selling so soon is that I've tried out an Aguilar DB750 today against the Aguilar AG500 I was going to buy (and was really happy with) Man that Big Aggie is Good !!! I now need the cash to bridge the price gap...... I hope Peter doesn't mind me using his Porn Thread to show the Bass, I'll take some photo's later http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...mp;hl=bob+glaub Let's not mess around here..... I'd like a quick sale so i'm setting the price at £575 Price Dropped to £550 to secure a sale by the weekend Cheers Mark
Hope it goes well Mark mate, look after my Modulus Only joking, thanks for the PM, probably for the best as it's such a beaut I'd never want to take it out of the house. Cheers Chris
Thanks Guys...... Just got in from the gig ! What a Blast !!! Loads of RHCP fans in there...... well RHCP tribs are not that common on the pub circuit in the North East !! My Playing was just about OK I think I scraped through it..... maybe i'll put a couple of pics or vids up when they come in (if there's any interest) I didn't use my Flea Bass, I know i'm Crazy but I really didn't want to risk getting it knocked in a multi band situation ! Had to make do with my Stingray Cheers Mark
Come on then, what did you walk out of EM with?
Nothing at all...... can you believe it ? Am I cured ? (I doubt it) Am I skint ? (Isn't everyone) Didn't Electro Music have anything in the Bass Dept (Actually a lot more than usual) I did try the Mark Bass F1 through a MB cab and an SWR cab, one sounded average one sounded AWESOME !!! I'll let you make your own mind up which was which !!
Whaaaaaaaaaaaat.............. I can't believe this hasn't sold. My Flea Bass sold for £1000 on Ebay two months ago, and it was nothing like as well spec'd as Mark's, AND mine had been repaired and refined.... Mark, anything less than £1250 for that is too cheap so keep it mate. You know you'll only buy another one one day anyway! Or... I'm thinking about offering you a '74 Precision AND the P/J fretless we almost traded recently (now fixed by Paul C) in exchange.... However, I'm sure someone will see sense and put me out of my mIsery C
It's Crazy isn't it ? Damn that Credit Crunch Your Precisions are nice for sure..... I may be trading the Flea into a local music store against an AMP. A cash sales would obviously give me more options in negotiating etc, so (Sensible) cash offers are invited and trades possible too High on my shopping list are Aguilar DB / GS 112 cabs Aguilar DB750 / AG500 MarkBass F1 Certainly other stuff considered all PM's will be considered replied to Cheers Mark

I was in Electro Music in Doncaster where they have a good range of Sanbergs, Dave had just got a new one in and urged me to try it out, It was a black bass with matching headstock rosewood board with pearl blocks - sexy sexy !! Pups were Musicman / Precision OMG how BIG did that sound ! Really well put together too, only thing that put me off was the big plastic Nut !! looked really cheap and out of place on such an instrument
hi over the last ten years ive been on a seemingly never ending search for the right bass for me, i have had everything!! trust me!! now i finally feel settled with my jazz basses! so this beautiful stingray has been sat in its case not being used!! which is a shame! ive owned this lovely bass from new (july 2007) its a 2007 4 string model in trans red, maple board, 3 band, black plate, musicman hardcase out of all the stingrays i tried that day in sound control this one stood out a mile mainly because of its quality fit and finish and lovely light weight!! so........ what im after is either a cash sale of around £700 or trades of similar amount with cash either way depending on the bass in question! so if you have a fender jazz MIA, CIJ etc (or jazz style, sadowsky, lakland etc) and you fancy a gorgeous ray then get in touch cheers chris
Just 10 years ? you've got loads of time left yet on your quest........... I've been at it since 1984 and a Jedson Fretless...... !! Still not sure what I like best !!! LOL !! Good luck with the Ray sale..... it's nice one !!
I have no ida what year it is - can I tell from the serial number? Wow, if I sold both of the Lanes for $800 each that wouldn't be far off what I paid for the entire bass (well, within a couple of hundred quid anyway!).
The first 2 numbers should tell you the year (see picture - mine's a 97) if yours was a custom then it might not have a number on it !
