Guys, something a bit special here, Bass assembled and refinished by Dave Wilson Built 'cost no object' to replicate one of Adam Claytons Stage Basses for a U2Tribute show, Jazz with Precision Neck ! Apart from preferring a Precision neck under my fingers I think the added girth beefs up the tone, feels solid as a rock !! Fender Jap 62 Jazz Body - Refinished In a gorgeous Aged Gold by Dave Wilson (not cheap but the Best) Neck is Jap Fender Maple Block & Black Bound neck but with Precision width - nice slim profile front to back, 70's Jazz Logo applied Pickups are Nordstrand NJ4SE / NJ4SV which are an outstanding pairing - the Bark & Bite with Bottom end thump, dual coils and absolutely silent .... perfect (cost £200 but the best J pups I've ever used) Machine heads are Fender Bridge is brand new Fender USA Internals are all CTS / switchcraft Sets up a dream and plays effortlessly - action as low as you like I've had a ton of USA 75 Reissues and this kills the lot for playability and tone, huge weight and authority in a live setting and speaks clearly in a busy band mix.
