  1. So…this happened today. Had it plek’d from Peach guitars too. I am truly amazed and a proud Squier owner…very proud!
  2. What’s the weight mate? I’ve got a very nice Baachus but it’s a little on the heavier side for me.
  3. Long shot but don’t suppose you still have this for sale. My NJ4 neck has died!
  4. Those 40th anniversary Squier Vintage edition P's are looking very tempting in Dakota red...first bout of GAS in a long time!

  5. Decided to put this one up for sale/trade as it's unlikely to get used due to already having 3 jazz basses. So why so cheap? Well cosmetically its far from the best, yet plays great! The bad: When i got it i set out to change the decal as, like many, i really didn't like that RSD logo. The job was going well, so thought I'd age the slightly anemic neck with a bit of some tint - big mistake!. Unfortunately the tint i got off Amazon was truly terrible as it went a horrible orange despite light coats. I eventually sanded this off leaving the neck dare i say a bit 'grubby' - that said it plays absolutely fine and is very smooth indeed. It has had a tung oil light coat since. The next disaster was upon fitting my German Sadwosky Pre with VTC when the soldering iron fell against the body whilst popping to the loo...doh! See pic of pea sized burn by the control plate. There is also various hairline scratches, a small dink around the arm rest, and more visual scratches around the jack socket and top of headstock -again nothing that effects playability, all cosmetic. I since sold the original preamp and pickups and used my Sadowsky pre in another bass, so this was eventually made as passive. It has a Seymour Duncan in the neck and a generic in the bridge - sounds really good, the slap tone in particular. Obviously a new owner could put another pre in as the side jack and battery compartment are present. The good, The neck plays lovely, low action with no buzzes. The weight is only 8lbs so nice and light. The tone as i say is really good, surprisingly good in fact. Excellent Sadowsky tuners and bridge, upgraded string retainer like on the US models. Sadowsky adjustable nut. Truss rod is perfect. Passive controls are from a Squier CV bass. Will thrown in an old Warwick gig bag for the transport if necessary. As i say i have too many jazzes so would entertain a trade for a non jazz bass , or TC Elf, and could add up to £200 to a deal (despite currently trying to save pennies ahem!) I also have a Markbass 2x10" Traveler cab i could lose too. Other than that £200 gets it within the UK.
  6. Funny you should mention the Flea pickups - I have some in my parts draw. If the OP is interested send me a PM. They are pretty damn good!
  7. I’ve got the Bam 200. Much quieter than the Elf I owned, but if I’m honest I preferred the sound of the Elf (any swappers ? 😂). One thing about the Bam is that it gets hot, but this is normal apparently - very clean sounding.
  8. I’d get stoned and think I’m at a Funkadelic gig.
  9. ‘Please Don’t Go’ KWS version makes me extremely nauseous.
  10. Forgot just how great sounding the non class D, heavy stuff sounds. A/B’d my Eden WT550 against my Markbass LMT and it blew it out the proverbial water…proper heft, fat tone and of course back braking heavy! Great vintage vibes at a non rehearsed classic 70’s rock gig with the first outing of my Zon. Sounded sublime! Excuse the dusty end pic, only the ‘tic toc’ of Pink Floyd’s ‘Time’ 😂
  11. The Sires are gone but I have an Aguilar bridge and a neck pick that I can’t remember what the make was that I could possibly part with. I’ve also got the Maidavale set still available too.
  12. Last time I lubed my fingers I kept slipping of the G string.
  13. Did an outdoor blues/Dad rock gig with my recently purchased Eden WT550 yesterday (3rd WT i've owned to date)- A/B it against my usual gig amp, a Markbass LMTube, and the Eden blew the MB out the water by a country mile - heft, heft and more heft! You could just feel something that the Markbass lacked., which bought a satisfaction i haven't felt in a while either. The Eden maybe heavy by comparison to the Class D stuff but the sounds are to die for. Some of the best amps ever made the WT series! Someone buy this bargain, I'm sure you'll love it - GLWTS.
  14. Here goes, finally decided to put my baby up for sale after procrastinating for many months - only selling to part fund a family USA holiday next year. This is my pride and joy so go easy, and by far the best bass i will have ever owned bar none! All original genuine 74 P goodness from Fender apart from currently fitted with Kiogon loom due to scratchy tone pot on originals (included), old pots are functional but just opted for the ease of the kiogon loom. Original 70's case. B width neck , a nice light 8.8lbs and sounds and plays truly superb...I guess that should be obvious by the real players mojo! Ash trays and tug bar included, chip to scratch plate by jack but glued. Truss rod and tuners are fine, everything is functioning fine and will for years to come. Now, i would consider a part trade of a cheaper P bass only i.e. Fender, Lakland, Squiers etc, must be under 9lbs in weight and up to max value of £700 as i need to clear 2K to keep Mrs Raslee happy. Viewing most welcome, Plymouth, happy to courier if buyer arranges this and accepts all risk -cash in my account first of course. Right i am off to wipe the tears! Here's the funk:-
  15. Eclectic mix: Parliament/funkadelic (P Funk), JTQ, Roni size, Rudmental (currently watching), Damien Marley, Dreadzone, Gong/Hillage, Ozrics, Dua Lipa, Vibronics, Snarky Puppy, Cory Wong, The Fearless Flyers, Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Primus, Led Zepplin, Afro Celt soundsystem, Orbital, Chemical Brothers, Warpaint, Dr . Funk, Bootsy Collins, Squarepusher, Muse & The Dubliners.
  16. On hold: Bought a Classic Vibe jazz off here a few days ago with a plan to use the lovely colorued Daphne Blue body with my USA maple Fender neck. Fitted right away and works like the dream I had in mind - so the original neck is now up for grabs. Classic Vibe jazz neck, we all know how good these are! This one is pretty much pristine with a nice lightly sanded neck to remove the sticky gloss, feels great! Neck plate also included.
