  1. Thanks for looking. Bad for me I’m afraid as I have a nickel allergy. GLWTS 😊
  2. Cheers, Dunc. To be honest, the more I play it, the less I'm bothered about selling. If it sells, then great and I’ll still bump it, but I'm equally happy to have it around as it's a really great player - sounds great, too 😊
  3. It is indeed…would take this over a MIM in a heartbeat 😎
  4. Try this, although far too much slap 😂
  5. Selling this Cort beauty that I've loved owning. It was top of the range circa 2002, around 8lb in weight and sounds awesome with the Mighty mite pickups. It's uncannily similar to a few Skyline Lakland jazzes that I've previously owned of that era, after all they did come from the same Korean factory I believe. A few scratches with age but nothing tragic - player wise, it's a ‘good un’ as they say and a real bargain, too. The buyer will be happy indeed with the quality. £200 + postage or collect from Plymouth.
  6. Great thread! Was listening to some Corduroy yesterday for the first time in a while. This has always been a personal favourite: And I’ll add this for JTQ:
  7. Deppin a posh gig at the Eden project, forgot about the 5hrs waiting around bit doing f’all. Suddenly the Dog & Duck hourly rate doesn’t feel too bad.

It's a shame you have a 5 hour wait. But will they let you look around the site? I could easily lose 5 hours looking around the Eden Project - especially if it was free entry. We had a gig on Saturday, and were the "headline" of 3 acts. They sound-checked us ahead of the other two acts, and we had a long wait, while they were sound checked. However, we went to a Cafe / Bar and a small food market, and had a nice time while we waited. (Almost spent our fee in the market though! Doh).

Sadly not, it was closed in the evening. We weren’t even able to access the bar. It was a case of cabin fever as we were hidden away and told to sit at a table in the closed shop atea and wait. On the positive side we had some sandwiches and briefly saw Angela Rippon who was there and on top form 😂

Ah yes, my two least favourite bits of The Gig Experience. 1, the hanging-around bit and 2, the load out. With a 5 hour wait, I would probably have retreated to my car and got some shut-eye.

  8. Voodoo Octave fuzz, Boss Comp, Zoom B3 & EDEN WTDI now sold.
  9. Absolutely loving this lightweight set up, Markbass Pure 4ohm 10Kg, Spector RST under 3Kg and a my super loud Elf safely on the top with Velcro underneath. Keeps up with two loud Guitarses without breaking a sweat. Sounds great.
  10. Would consider trade deals with a Source Audio C4, can add cash.
  11. Brilliant quality necks these, jazz nut width too. I did the same as I had a USA P neck I wanted to use and sold the Squier neck separately but I was astounded on how nice the Sonic neck felt and played. GLWTS.
  12. Have to say I’m in heaven with my 6.4lbs Spector RST - no back pain since. No neck dive, great tone and top quality build too.
  13. Never Mind the Frolics 😎
  14. Still here too, great bit of kit - half tempted to keep it.
  15. Surplus pedals since a Line 6 purchase. Costs include postage in the UK, or collect from Plymouth. No PSU's or box unless implied below. Pedals have Velcro on bottom, can be easily removable. All pedals work fine, few scratches on the Sansamp but nothing tragic. Sansamp Programmable bass driver -SOLD Boss Loop station SOLD Joyo Voodoo Octave (Fuzz with switchable Octave Up too - Royal Blood!) £20 SOLD Boss Bass compressor BC1x (Awesome pedal!) SOLD Eden WTDI DI pedal, with PSU- SOLD Dyna Compressor - cheap and surprisingly good, Zoom B3 (My trusty B3, had since new) SOLD Trades: light jazz bass body, GB7 Hipshot d-tuner, SA C4 pedal.
  16. Yes, I was certainly pleased to have the active eq available on the bass.
  17. Played some punky ska at some seaside pub in Dawlish for a music festival. Went down really well. Backline was interesting, Orange guitar valve head into some Ashdown combo speaker and 2 x10”, actually worked well and sounded quite nice. Also the first outing for my 6.4lb Spector…no back ache today, hoorah!
  18. This image sums up my 1990’s time…..hoping we get to the gig!
  19. Need some help please Spectorites - What do you guys do for d-tuners on the newer (2021+) Spector Euro’s? I’ve recently bought an RST and was thinking about the Hipshot GB7 detuner/xtender but I think the peg (shaft bit), is thicker on my Spector tuner, and also the tuner heads are different patterns - are they interchangeable as again they look different? The tuners are Gotoh’s on my RST. TIA.
  20. It’s a different beast mate from my usual holy trinity basses. Quite a spectrum of sound. The active bass full on is perhaps too boomy for a reggae vibe so I found dialling in a bit of bridge pickup helped with definition. It excels at a P clanky two tone vibe when dialling in the highs, not too brittle either, and yes that growl people talk about - cuts through brilliant. I wasn’t sure at first about going for the Aguilar setup, and perhaps far it’s from the ‘Spector sound’ but I’m really liking what I hear so far. The neck pickup is perhaps my favourite, bit like a super P, quarter pounder pickups is. The only negatives are no passive bypass or option, to which I may try a different preamp eventually, and the tiniest bit of neck dive being so light but on the strap it’s fine - the weight is joyous as I say. Looking forward to gigging it.
  21. All is well, that ends well. Did my 3 weeks holiday in the USA whilst all the time keeping an eye on the spending money and a few pennies were to my luck left over. Quick contact to Will at Bass Bro’s from the Grand Canyon…the rest is good history. Growled like a mother biatch at last nights rehearsal. 6.4lbs and sounds awesome, love it, as does my back. Just need to find a de tuner now. Spector RST.
