    I used to have one of these a few years back. Really liked it, and portable too. I thought for a 15” it had good projection but was just a little on the boomy side for me in a 50/60’s soul type function band so switched to MB 2x10” travelers. But the 15”, coupled with a MB Jeff Berlin combo made for an awesome reggae rig.

    Hi, considering getting one of the above as the weight, onboard FX and cab modelling appeals, plus all I have seen is good reviews of the Fender sound so far.....perhaps too much good reviews! So I'm asking for the good, the bad and the ugly opinions on the Stage 800 in particualr....or should I simply stick with my trusty Zoom B3 and pick up one of the cheap TC combo deals at the moment? Part of me oddly feels I should rediscover heavy amps again, Ashdown ABM combo maybe was another thought - never tried an ABM? I'm thoroughly sorted for my main rig, Genzler Magellan 800 & Genz Benz NX2 (thanks Cliff ), but am thinking along the lines of a combo for home, the odd dep/jam gig, back up and fancy something different and quirky...the Fender seems to fit the bill. Done with Markbass and loved it (at times), but am now moving on having fallen in love with my Genz set up...... So I'd love to hear some views about the Fender Stage 800 Rumble Combo - thanks

    Fantastic to take a road trip out and chat with Cliff. If it wasn't for the presence of my much younger daughter I'm pretty confident we could have chatted all things bass related for at least 24hrs. As others have said Cliff is a legend and true gentleman. Bought his Genz NX2 cab, have had one before a regrettably sold it - it is my intention to keep this one! B/Cers can deal with absolute confidence

    SOLD Need to thin the heard on the amassing cabs I have of late, love these lightweight quality cabs but something sadly has to go to balance my funds and right now this is my least used combination. Both bought from new and both have cab covers, excellent condition too. Barely used (several gigs) and never driven hard...low mileage as they say So for sale are: Markbass Traveler 400W 2x10" 8ohm - £275 - as seen in the pic i have two of these but if anyone wants to buy both together for the stack then let me know....otherwise very happy to keep one of these super lightweight cabs. SOLD Markbass Traveler 400W 1x15" 151P Traveler cab - SOLD Both stack great and if you want a MB rig I also have a Markbass LM2 head which I'd be tempted to let go for £265 plus gig bag. SOLD

    Yep same here, had 3 of the originals and 2 of them were from new. A great historic service from Orange coupled with one of my favourite amps ever could well lead to a new purchase sometime soon 😊

    Would love to see a pic of the Maruszczyk Jake 5, and especially the Yamaha BX-5 (never heard of these). Currently i am thinking cricket bat and sourcing some bespoke metal worker to make me a hook similar to the Steinberg Synapse. That said I have become used to having good low B's (aka Laklands and my current 34" scale Cort Custom GB5 which i adore but is just too heavy after 90 mins), and i recall the low B not being particularly great on the cricket bat i owned many moons ago. Not tried a Maruszczyk yet and only hear good things of them, Sandbergs too. In all fairness the gigs where i need a 5 are few and far between so perhaps after a bit of a workout and shaping up a bit i may be able to handle the Cort better...in other words I think the ever increasing beer belly is probably taking more toll on my back than my basses at present 😂😂😂

    Read this thread with interest as I’ve been entering the glum back pain club lately I’m wondering if anyone can recommend a light 5 string, ideally below 8.5lbs and 18-19mm string spacing-equally I’m intrigued by short scales...does a 5 shortie exist? I’d get a Hohner cricket bat, or similar, if I could locate a strap balancing hook like on the Steinberger Synapse- they just don’t sit right for me on the usual strap knobs.

    Would consider trades particularly for a Warwick 5, poss 4, Steinberger Synapse 5, Hohner/Steinberger cricket bat plus cash my way, Ibanez Musician, G&L Killoton, poss Fender Dimension ...I like quirky basses too - may be able to add some small cash too

    I've held out as long as possible on selling these but another recent purchase means Mrs Raslee is hot on my case having now bought two more basses recently but not sold any on as i had promised. So, superb 2015 Fender Jazz (Right side bass) - has the 60's pick ups as standard and all the other goodness that the post 2012 Jazzes are known for, excellent condition, complete with D-tuner too, nice Fender case - perfect Jazz!. £850 TRADED Fender Precision, (Left side bass) - this has been my main gigging bass until a recent purchase of a Lakland P, 2008 and with a upgraded Lollar pick up (awesome vintage sounding pick up IMO), Fender case, great condition. Has D-tuner also £800 SOLD Withdrawn- Stingray (The one in the middle) - I think around 2002 ish from memory - not 100% sure i want to part with this one as it's my favourite Stingray I've owned to date having owned several in the past. Great typical Stingray, plenty of gigging marks so far from a show piece this one, plays great and a beautiful colour too, case, has D-tuner also - Now withdrawn, can’t bring myself to sell it...at the moment Possible trade for - basses 4/5's only, Fender 800 Stage combo - may consider cheaper basses plus cash my way too. Happy to courier at your cost and risk to the buyer, or collect from Plymouth. Will supply more pics upon request. If they don't sell...oh well i get to keep them longer 😁
