  1. We're a democracy
  2. Wow, Facebook reveals some really interesting er...people!...On that note we'll have a reduction here in B/C world before considering Evilbay here: Now £750 or £800 if wanting the BT3 Hipshot Xtender D-Tuner.
  3. I've just been playing Le Flea.....had a moment thinking about withdrawing but concluded I'd be more content with a non-pinky USA Jazz, or a reissue jazz with blocks ...white, sunburst, blue, natural - the tone of the Flea is something special though
  4. Old PRS bass (Robbie Shakespear), Jazz Bass on neck pick up and tone off, or a Hohner B bass or Hohner cricket bat bass will see you through....standard tools of a dub player
  5. Hi Pete, thanks for the offer but the Ibby is not for me I'm afraid, looks truly lovely though.
  6. Yes absolutely, instant creamy & silky vintage tones to be had
  7. Can add either a USA Fender, or Seymour Duncan Quarterpounder pickup for an extra £25, so £400 all in for a very clean (appears like new to be honest), quality looking, sounding and playing P bass. May take a double gig bag in part ex.
  8. Cheers Pawel. Yes it’s a great bass indeed but I have to accept it’ll end up a ‘dust collector’
  9. AND.... SOLD As much as I've tried I've finally decided this recent purchase isn't for me but it is a bass to tick off the bucket list nonetheless. Whilst sounding absolutely superb with the vintage Fender 64 pickups I just don't think were bonding aesthetically. I don't think I'm a long-term fan of Shell pink TBH - it's a shame as it plays so nice with a great slap tone, nice and light too around 9lb ish - can get an accurate weight if requested. Since buying from Bagsieblue of this parish I have added a BT3 Detuner (£70 fro Bass direct) and shielded the cavities. I'm am therefore selling for £850 with the BT3 or £800 without. Now £750 or £800 if wanting the BT3 Hipshot Xtender D-Tuner. Trade wise, Looking for another 4 string Jazz, preferably a Fender USA or decent MIJ (i like block and bound basses), Happy to add a couple of hundred to upgrade and open to other Jazz bass manufactures too. May at a push consider a Warwick Streamer LX/FNA, MM Bongo. Happy to work with buyer on arranging a courier if necessary or collect/trial in Plymouth UK. Orignal sales thread, details and pictures here: Flea bass Thanks
  10. SOLD.My trusty Bitsa P is up for sale due to a new recent purchase. Great clean bass, 2015 Rosewood Fender (MIM) neck, Olympic white (Chris Aiken) body, Hipshot top load bridge for great sustain, CTS pots and Russian PIO capacitor making for a very smooth sound, took out my vintage Lollar pickup as I am keeping that and replaced with a Wilkinson - still sounds great, lightweight, Fender knobs & neck plate, lovely dark Tort plate, and strap locks. Can post. Bass owes me a lot more than the asking price...it looks a cracker and sounds even better, a lot of bass for the money. SOLD

I’ve PM’d you something I’ll be putting up for sale (already on FB)
  12. I have to admit I’m really struggling with a pick after 20 years of finger playing. I’ve joined a rock covers band and more songs are needing a pick as I cannot keep up with the speed, plus they need ‘that sound’ - any tips on pick techniques greatly appreciated
  13. SOLD ELSEWHERE
  14. Yup, a future classic I reckon. Will miss it when it's gone
  15. Tanglewood P neck, 63.4 -64mm heel, with tuners, decent neck £30 posted or collect from Plymouth
  16. Recently bought a Genzler amp from Mike. Everything was tip-top, top chap, top communications and the amp is perfect. He even sorted out a convenient delivery via his friend for me - 100% thumbs up from me. Many thanks.
  17. After a recent acquisition of a mind-blowing Genzler Magellan from here I agreed with her indoors I'd balance the books up a bit so hence the reluctant sale of this wonderful OTB amp. These Amps need little introduction and this one was one of the last in production which I purchased brand new from Thomann. I bought it in late summer 2015 and it's done a few wedding Motown gigs and never missed a beat. Due to a change in musical directions from the functions band scene, It has largely been retired over the last 12 months in favour of using my Markbass amp for a 'hifi' cleaner sound to use effects through. The amp is in great condition and essentially low mileage. Any trial welcome. Looking for £325 couriered within the UK, otherwise, collect from Plymouth
  18. Yup, it's mine now
  19. So the Fortress electronics that are in it now, I take it the pre and pickups are different to the oriignal standard Streamer electronics then? Is it a different sound?
  20. Looks great, good job and great basses......and a cheeky first dibs if you decide to sell on
  21. Do you know if it is a nitro finish on the body ?
