[s]Great European Czech made Spector Rebop DLX4 bass. It's mostly just a back up for me now and I fancy a change (as i often do ). It has a fair few battle scars on the body so don't expect a pristine Spector, the worst being 3 main pea sized dings on the front as seen on pic - but just goes to show this is a players bass and not some showpiece. Also it does play and sound beautiful indeed, especially with the John East Pre. The volume knob on the John East appears not to work, everything else is fine - a quick email to john East and i'm sure he'll send one out - i just don't have the time to do it a t present. The original Tonepump preamp added to the sale too. Bargain for £500, or £400 with the Spector tonepump preamp refitted or what you got to swap? It should be noted that the John East Pre has tone in passive mode too...sweet piece of kit.[/s] [s]£600 with the John East Pre (sounds superb!) or £500 with the tone pump. [/s] [s]Up for trades too, try me you may be surprised but would like a USA Musicman Sub or the Sterling Ray34 CA, or G&L's, Peavey T40's...Jap P's or J's.....what you got ? Would consider Applemac, samplers, Markbass synth pedal, light 2x10" cab's. Cheaper basses/gear and cash my way is fine too. [/s]

Nice bitsa, just not getting any use if i'm honest. May part out if theres any takers for anything in particular??? - Just PM me. Reggae stickers are easily removable but are covering small screw holes where a previous owner of the body tried multiple bridge covers, easily fillable. All in all a very nice bass for someone and strung with Fender flats too. I have a variety of pickguards if a different colour is preferred. Parts on this build: Squier VM PJ body Seymore Duncan SP1 P pick up and not sure of the bridge model but it's Seymour Duncan. Schaller 3D bridge Wilkinson Tuners Gorgeous Canadian maple neck with a well done 70's decal, close to J width too...this neck is really joyous to play and has a nice vintage tint. Schaller 3D bridge with sideways adjustment Nice tort plate although bodged hole to get to truss rod, see pic Bad bits 2-3 holes per side under stickers as aforementioned. Sale £230 ovno posted or trade for mini synth ie Korg Micro or similar, possibly a sampler or preamp for my Warwick plus cash my way. Price includes postage More Pics https://www.icloud.c...#B0O55Z2WMuwjks

SOLD Selling my beloved Wizard trad (original and made by Andy) pick up as it has been sitting in my draw for the last 3 months and is unlikely to get used as I'm mostly a jazz bass man. Pics to follow but it's all cool, decent cable length, covers scratched/roadworn Would add cash towards a decent preamp for my Warwick Corvette (ideally 3 pots but will consider others) or can add monies towards a micro/mini synth Novation Mininova, Micro Korg £40 posted to your door

Entwhistle Pickups - what are your thoughts?
Raslee replied to Grangur's topic in General Discussion
I bought a set of these P bass pickups. What is the script with the bar magnets? Never seen them on the outside of a pickup before. And the covers don`t fit in a Fender size pickup hole as the lugs are larger. No bigee but they will need some alteration to the pickgaurd.
I fitted the covers from the fender pick ups over the Entwhistle....job done - easy fit and no mods needed However, all opinions count...i think, I found the P to be a little bland for my tastes...it wasn't as kick ass as the Quarter pounder I had, not as defined...perhaps smoother but dull. Certainly a lot more different to a vintage style pick up such as lacking the clanky mids, smoother.... but dull again. My opinion is they're worth a try for the money but not for me really - sorry. Best P pick up I've tried is the Aguilar but they're expensive. Edit: My pick up is the PBX N - Neo...perhaps the cheaper PBX is a different beast altogether -
Smells Like The 90s? you can have that, free!
I like it, cheers
Maybe 'Sing It Back' and 'The Time Is Now' , Moloko. Just about within your time period.
Was thinking about the Time is Now...great tune
Missing - Everything but the girl We're doing this currently. Good tune.
Good track, suits our vocalist
You could do Common People by Pulp. Arguably the song of the 90's.
Yeah that should be in the set really

As it says! A little side project for a few local pubs in the South Devon area. We're currently at that storming stage of what tracks we could do. The band set up is a four piece but the female vox is quite handy on the keys too...I'm sure the guitard also does a bit of keys and vocals. I have a looper/sampler So far we've put in the pot Spin Spin Sugar - Sneaker Pimps, Stupid Girl - Garbage, Glory Box - Portishead, Possibly Unfinished Sympathy - Massive attack, Weak - Skunk Anansie. Despite the female vocals we're thinking some other tracks like Nirvana, Janes Addiction, Chili Pepper, Pearl Jam etc.....any further suggestions - i know i know...there's loads but strictly no Oasis shizzle. I'm pushing for Brown Paper Bag Roni Size but not sure it's justifiable on electric bass haha. Also thinking of a straightforward band name that says it...er 'Strictly 90's' for example ???
