So, Korg (Hartke suppliers) have contacted me back, and quickly too, £110 for 1 x 15" XL speaker posted or around £180 for two. Now the cab cost me £100, but i do like it...it has heavy duty castors , is well built and weigh's a ton which is great for my band as they love to carry it . Interestingly Korg in my email put the speakers as 300W, not sure if that's a typo as the originals were 200W, but 300W would be preferable if the newer speakers are that. But i can't stopping thinking about some decent Eminence speakers like the 3015LF ...but then there's tuning the cab, physics lessons etc...BTW how do you tune a cab? And how do you find the litres of a cab?

Cool...cheers
I'd save yourself the bother of possibly having to retune that cabinet to make it suitable for a different speaker - even worse would be to only replace one cone I'm afraid. The 15's in this cab are pretty conservatively rated and my suggestion would be to get the current speaker direct from Korg UK who are the distributors for Hartke.
Cheers Dood, Yeah i must admit that has been on my mind too as i do like the sound of the cab, i'll call Korg tomorrow.

One of the speakers has blown in my 400W Hartke 2x15 XL, the aluminum cone is all cracked according to a friend and beyond repair. Thinking of replacing probably both speakers, probably for paper speakers too...would like a bit more power/ volume on tap...using a Markbass 800W amp or Carvin 1500W amp. This cab will be used for reggae/ska with both elec & double bass, wanting lots of low end, reliability as it will be played with a lot of low frequency dub stuff. The cab has four bass ports or whatever it is you call them, see pic. Any suggestions of a particular speaker upgrade? I know there's lots of physics involved but I'm more sociologist than scientist, so all help appreciated. Weight of new speakers not an issue.
Market place is great but there has been a huge flux of timewasters you know the ones that PM you and say "oh Ill have that mate" only to never get back to you or the other ones who want everything thing for f*** all I mean we all love a deal but some of em on here do take the piss that could be a reason why a lot of people aint advertising the low end gear as it is not worth the hassle? I just dont know but the has been loads of serious top end gear on here of late
Yup this....and will you post outer space -
Loving my new NY151 Markbass cab, loud, deep and clear...sounds great paired with my LMT 800...recommend!

Mike Howlett in Gong, great style, great tone..nice chap too

Glad you guys see the difference between Tube & SS. In my research before getting mine i often read that there was no difference...i can hear the difference and i'm allegedly deaf. Great amps the LMT's, it's definitely in the good books with me at the moment

I had a Streamliner 900 briefly, nice amp..great for reggae and the old valves sounds but I struggled to find a good sound i liked in my soul/funk band, that was through a Genz Neox 212T at the time. I now have a Genz 2x10" 500W Contour combo and a 12" Genz Focus cab, totally love this set up and best of all the heads are removable from these combo's, i believe the combo heads are loosely based on the Shuttle amp.
Sorry to hijack this a little... these are some of the first relics I've ever seen and really liked, absolutely amazing work! How much do they go for roughly new?
Variable, depending on your build requirements but generally from about £750 upwards, I think the cash price of my Precision 70's replica was £765 but I did a trade with Mark , i.e. A bass plus cash...he'll give a very respectable price in trading too

Uninstall the add on then reinstall
All the bass I'll ever need.
Are those both Limelight's ?

Nice one Devonian bro, looks sweet and glad your sorted at last. I've had one of those 4x10 HLF's...a better choice over the 8x10 IMO...they're great cabs, oodles of low end. Superb rig

Happy LMT800 user here, gigged just and sounded superb through my new Markbass NY151 cab, Limelight P, tone half point, VLE on a little, rest flat...wonderful old school soul sounds with clarity...glad I've gone back to Markbass.
