  18. yep, i dont think the pocket is deep enough, but i'm assured by Phil at guitarbuild that it is Neck is 25mm at heel, pocket is 15mm so neck is 10mm proud, anyone know if this is right/wrong?
  19. this is new build so no shims to be seen, cant believe a neck won't bow with zero tension on the truss rod, hmmmnnnn....
  20. i have a new maple neck on a P bass but cannot get the strings off the fretboard, neck is dead straight, truss rod is almost loose, and bridge saddles are high as they can go. how do i get some relief into a new neck? does it take a while with anew neck?
  21. i cant seem to get any relief in this neck and the truss rod is as slack as it can go, i need some bow in it, does it take a while after stringing?
  22. with the pickguard on it's almost halfway, but how come i cant get the strings off the fingerboard with the saddles as high as they will go and the truss rod almost loose? maybe need some shims?
  23. it's an all parts neck and guitarbuild body, surely they should fit? neck is 25mm at the heel, pocket is 15mm so neck is 10mm proud, can anyone confirm this is right/wrong?
  24. does this neck look at natts too high [attachment=112333:IMAG0383.jpg] bridge saddle screws are half way into the saddles too
