1. Holy moly that's nice. Has it got it's own postcode?
2. For round holes I would use a reamer. I get a nicer finish that way, and for small round holes a reamer is easier to use than a round file, imo.
3. Bought a couple of books from James recently and all is well. James is a fine chap to deal with and the books were packaged up better than if I had bought them from a bookshop. Very pleased, thank you James.
4. ...and I bought an MB200 from Tony - very easy to deal with, prompt friendly messaging, and the amp was packaged very well (in the original box, no less!) for shipping. Thanks Tony, I am jolly chuffed.
5.
Yeah it was excellent. I don't really dig the Foo's music, but I have great admiration for them as a band, and for Dave Grohl. They epitomise everything good about music and being in a band, with a very deep and genuine adoration of rock music and its history. He's a great ambassador, and one of the few torchbearers for good old honest rock music.
This, except I really like them Food Fighters... that's what they get called when there is a four year old in your house. Some of the DG / Foos stuff available on You Toob is excellent.
6. It's the same with bikes. A green Kawasaki is always faster than the same bike in a different colour. It's the law.
7.

That is mint, what a beauty... ;-)
8. We watched it too. On our big old CRT telly I could hear him playing, but only just. I've fancied a acoustic for a while but don't know if I'd be disappointed by the (lack of) volume. My acoustic guitar is pretty loud.
9. Yes they are lovely, but the size of a small housing estate. I'm not sure I get on totally with my NM-2, having sold a HD to buy it.
10. Need it? Of course.
11.
Hartke Kickback - they're unpopular used thus cheap, but IME are good. I bought (then recently sold for roughly what I paid for it) a kickback 12 for about £80 and it was sufficient at 120w for small pub gigs (with a bit of PA support unless the venue was tiny generally)
I bought this very amp from this very chap (hello mate *waving*), it sounds great and is louder than it has any right to be. A whole lot of amp for next to nothing. I'm suffering from amp gas at the moment but without spending squillions I honestly can't find much I prefer the sound of.
12.
I bet King John is spinning in his grave.
Love it. :-) Looks like a decent cart-a for the price though :-)
13. Yep, a +1 here too, I've emailed a couple of times with obscure questions about their pedals. Both times I received properly written, friendly and detailed replies from Guy. :-)
14. Bump for the best avatar ever
15. Make sure you get a before pic for a cleanliness comparison! Congrats mate, :-)
16. Mr Brightside by The Killers, I've been having a tinker with this on my own this week, and played it with the boys last night, a good fun song.
17. That looks shot to bits - well done!
18.
Are there no single bass men out there? GAS free in their unibass world.....
*holds up hand* - me Sir, just the Yammy for now at least. Though am I 'GAS free', I doubt it.
19. That's lovely bud - I miss my Bassman, she was lovely too.
20. Am I allowed to really like this?
21.
Looking forward to seeing the Blog bluejay!
+1 - I'm local enough to have come but weekends are tricky for me and not much tears me away from family time. Some cracking pictures, it looks like a great time was had. I'll try harder to make the next one if you'll have me!
22.
... a J cloth
In this instance however make sure you use a P cloth...
23. Watched it, thought it was great. Love(d) Blonde.
24. It sounds
Third gig down and things are getting weird!! We've been rebooked (again) and this time to headline on a saturday night over two well established local bands used to headlining their own shows in decent sized venues whose names start with "o2 something or other"...as the Wildhearts once sang, there's "something weird going on in my head"!! Great night though and we filled the place nicely for our set whereas the other two acts good as they were didn't really bring anyone...mebbe that's the answer?
I'd have to disagree with the 'weird' bud, it's because you're bloody good. Your Soundcloud stuff is very enjoyable, interesting songs, a lovely dynamic sound and everyone has their own space 'in the mix' (imho). If you sound like that in pubs it's no wonder you're going down well!
