1. That's very nice mate, I've recently bought a 424x - they are lovely things.
 2.
Are you some distance from your office? If I had a new bass, I'd be straight down to my office.
Oooh - I wish I had time! I work all over the place, so my office is just a base really. It's 30 miles west of my house and this week I'm working east so there is zero chance of me getting anywhere near a new bass until Tuesday now, boo.
 3.
DEKOS! PJ-4. http://www.thomann.d...series_deko.htm £25 something.
Mmmmm, if I hadn't just bought that P, I might well have bitten at this one. I haven't got it yet btw, though I had it sent to my office and haven't been there since!
 4.
There's a more recent trend of buy-it-now or best offer.... so one can put an optimistic BIN price on it while still retaining the option to sell if a sensible offer comes in.
This is what I do, sold lots of stuff this way. If you price realistically then items can sell really quickly too - no waiting around for your auction to finish. My old iPhone 4 was listed, sold and paid for in twenty minutes.
 5.
This is utterly mental, and therefore one of the most entertaining things I've read on here in a long time...
Is there a 'thread of the year'? This surely has to be a candidate. Working at an airport, we get our share of complaints about noise, mostly from the elderly of Shoreham-by-Sea. Bootsy - I think you are going to do us an enormous favour and kill most of them off when this cab gets loose :-) so thank you in advance.
 6. Uh-oh, I've had the 'shipped' email... It's coming!
 7.
What did you buy?

btw: P bass listed as sold out
By the looks of it, the last P. €36 delivered. I've just looked on my account page and the order isn't showing, so maybe I missed the boat anyway. We'll see what e-mails I get next week. In order to extend my life somewhat, I have specified my office as the delivery address...
 8.
Loads of Dekos! http://www.thomann.d...and_basses.html
Look, I know it's not strictly your fault, but I've bloody gone and bought another one! If my Mrs finds it, I'm dead.
 9. Self-adhesive Velcro pads on the amp feet?
 10. Parcelmonkey is just an online booking service for other couriers. They're not a courier company in their own right are they? Or are they? I've shipped stuff round the world using their site and not had a problem.
 11.
APC will take anything. I've used them to ship 100lb 4x10 cabs in the past.
Another vote for APC, I use them pretty much every day for everything. However I have used DX Freight (via Parcelmonkey) when I shipped my Peavey 1516E, she was 50-odd kilos. Overnight in the UK was about £20.
 12.

So let me get this straight, you bought a very expensive bass and your Mrs is still smiling... She's a keeper mate. (and it's a lovely bass, but you didn't really need telling that by the looks of it )
 13. It's sparkly pink - how could it not be bloody fantastic!
 14.
Do you live near shoreham?
I work at Shoreham airport. Sometimes it just feels like I live there!
 15. This is turning into an epic build thread :-) I can't wait to see and, given our apparent proximity, probably hear the finished beast! Good on you for building something wild, it's a corker.
 16. Last time I came home from the US the limit before duty was payable was about £140 iirc. I declared what I had bought and was a bit over that, so I had to pay duty on the rest.
 17.
Just noted where you live - luckily I am at a safe distance when you undertake tests.
Uh-oh, I'm not! I work in Shoreham. Bye everyone, it's been fun...
 18. Holy Moly Batman, that's a cab. It won't be flapping your trousers - they'll be off down the street on their own!
 19. Hi Josh, Welcome to the mad-house!
 20. Awesome. I've just read most of this thread, what a corker! Hi Tim, welcome to the mad-house.
 21. I reckon that's well worth the current price... 99p
 22. LPB all the way.
 23. I've got a new one... 'I pulled the trigger' Grrrrrrr, you mean 'I bought', don't you? My response is to ask whether anyone was injured.
